Default It's official - Elim with P-180 engine

Yeah, right from the horse's mouth.
    Read this:
    http://www.businessworldindia.com/aug0904/indepth02.asp

    Some excerpts :
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
"It was my head of R&D. His team has successfully mounted the Pulsar engine on the Eliminator," he says, still beaming.

This development meant the price of the Eliminator could be slashed 33 per cent from Rs 90,000 to Rs 60,000.

Regarding changes he brought about in the top level management:
Yes. Almost everybody. I couldn't sack my father. But mostly, everybody else.

Regarding the development of the Pulsar engine :
The number of mistakes we have made in the Pulsar engine before we got it right is really the learning. One of the endurance tests we have is to take the engine full throttle. Now, full throttle on a bike is rare on the road. Our target was: full throttle for 100 hours continuously. The first time, it failed within 10 minutes. Today, the Pulsar engine goes 300 hours full throttle.

(Guess the 24 hour endurace test would be a breeze for Pulsar)

    Regarding the future :
Finally we have to go to the developed countries, for which we need a different kind of product range. Our R&D is already working on those products.

    How big?
    Pretty big

    500cc or so?
    Thereabouts.

A very good interview - provides a good insight on the struggle Bajaj had to undergo to recover from the loss it suffered when the market switched over from scooters to Motorcyles.

yeah...even i think it would be the single plug version (classic) engine but they haven't confirmed it so we cant be too sure. Now how abt putting the eliminator engine on the pulsar?
