Satyam, 97.xx cc or 999.xx cc, the displacement was never a criteria for engine maintenence/overhaul! So far, the bike has served us really well and we hope it remains a niggle free bike in the years to come. It will be overhauled (only) if it requires an overhaul and not because it did xyz kms on the odo.
Not to forget - this is a direct derivative of the original "Fill it, Shut it, Forget it" bike!

Without Suzuki, Maruti is nothing. Starting from the Humble Maruti 800 to the Gypsy to the Swift and the the Ritz and SX4 - everything has been conceptualized and designed by Suzuki and was simply rebranded by Maruti for sale in India,
Same holds true for Hero as well. Without Honda, there would have been no CBZ, no Karizma or no Hunk.

And just to correct you, Samsung has survived only because of Android. Remember the 2007-2008 era when Samsung was pathetically struggling with just 2 Omnia smartphones? The Galaxy S brought it back to life and even today, Samsung is banking entirely on the Galaxy range of Android handsets. If Google were to ban Samsung from using Android, where will they be? Would the world buy a 5-inch screen 8-core processor phone running Java????????
Ohhhh...It was solely because of its alliance with Honda...???? come-on dude....the main reason was the hero's HUGE network and their brand name + Honda tech....and please read that example of Suzuki, tata, fiat and gm again....my point was even after using same diesel engine which was developed by GM and fiat, the total sale of swift(diesel) is more than double of the sales of tata vista, fiat punto and GM U-VA collectively in that particular segment which mean people have trust on maruti but not on GM and fiat.....they don't give a damn to the fact from where that diesel engine is coming....as far as android thing is concerned, Companies like Motorola, sony, mircromax and many more companies are using android but still they are far behind Samsung which means android is not the only reason behind their success...

@naveen: Agree with you buddy, but what comes first - hen or the egg? Without a technologically advanced product at an attractive price proposition (VFM), what's the use of having a vast service network? Maruti has the service network - but who designed the car in the first place? And who built the engine? Hope you get the drift.

    Peace!

That's what the main point is..its not one company(as in these examples) who made a product successful, its combination of two companies which took the product on that level which made those products more successful in comparison with their competition, even when all products having same Engines..Fiat's Engine in Maruti sells more than its own car exactly like CBZ/Hunk sells more in numbers than Dazzler..

First let the Hero Honda guys design then talk about designing for global markets! Changing stickers and designing some plastic panels doesnot mean motorbike design.
Let them touch the engine and chassis then only they can talk about design. Its no brainer even if they come out with something soon it will be again a design taken from some company. When will the Hero Management understand the importance of doing things independently and indigeneously.
They have lot of positive points on their side. They have all the design drawings from Honda, they should now experiment with the engine and chassis and try to come out with something substantial.

    Guys,

Hero has now failed to do even stickering right, just look at hero badge. Their electric scooties have better font type for "HERO". I think they had outsourced even sticker design ( along with chasis, engine design ) to partner Honda.
