India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) launched two of its naked models ER-6n, Z250 to further strengthen its presence in India’s premium motorcycle market. These bikes combine the finest of power, torque of Ninja650 and Ninja250, with aggressive street fighter styling.

In India, the new bikes will be imported as completely knocked down units (CKD) from Thailand and manufactured by India Kawasaki Motors will be retailed through the existing Probiking Showrooms operated by Bajaj Auto Limited. ER-6n will be priced at Rs. 478,000 and Z250 will be priced at 299,000 (ex-Showroom Delhi) respectively.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Yoshitaka Tamura, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors said,

“The Indian premium segment motorcycle market offers tremendous growth opportunities. We had launched five of our superbikes and received impressive response for these models. To further strengthen our presence in the country, we are now launching two more globally renowned but more affordable models. I hope those two new models would enable us to have further commitment to Indian market through Probiking showrooms ”.

India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) had launched superbikes ranging from Ninja ZX-14R, ZX-10R, Ninja1000, Z1000 and Z800 marketed through its exclusive Kawasaki network. This time, these two new models of ER-6n and Z250 are targeted to strengthen model lineup of Probiking sales network, currently marketing Ninja300 and Ninja650.

Could this be the reason why they increase the price of N300. Or have they sacrificed N300 with this pricing of er-6n. Z250 is a little over priced for one without ABS

It high time, BAJAJ should Help KAWA, start production in India itself. A price of 2.5 Lac onroad would do justice to this brilliant piece of engineering.
BTW the 250 looks damn hot and even Shadows the 650!! Z is a perfect naked bike.

BI reports a 40% localization for the Z250: Invasion of the Green Goblins: Kawasaki Z250, ER-6n | Bike India

After 40% local part sourcing they have priced it at 3.0 ex-showroom, quite a retarded thing to do.
Also since this bike is essentially a N250 without fairings, it is going to have no low end that's expected in a naked.

Disappointed with the pricing. Clearly a market strategy by Bajaj to save the brand KTM.

doubt being bajaj the culprit here for the reason of both kind of consumer groups available.

even if both are priced exact same there will be takers of Duke for the power and takers of kwacker for the finesse.
i am one of the power user group and cheaper spare parts. atleast i can ride the motorcycle my heart out.

It is a shame that Kawasaki didn't dare to be little adventurous and price this bike at 2.5-2.7L to keep the OTR price to below 3L which is a psychological figure for most aspiring bikers.
They are going the full premium way and it appears are intentionally keeping the price much above KTM to distinguish themselves out. No doubt the Z250 is an excellent naked with a lovely twin engine but for us the announced pricing will override this fact, except for die hard kawa fans.
