    One thing mate. You said engine is not a new design but it's a single cylinder. Kawa had 250cc single?

    They have used the engine from the KLX/D-Tracker 250. It's just in a different state of tune.

    Does the new 250 have the same alloys, same disc , same calipers, same swing arm etc as that of the N300 ? If so, under 2L in India is impossible unless you make these parts in India. If these are made in India, then existing N300 and N250R owners can use these parts at half the cost they are paying now .
    But I dont think this bike is coming to India at all. !

    loving the maturing Indian motorcycling scene where the 250 is becoming the new 150, the foreign bike makers taking our markets too seriously and making bikes of our tastes and needs and limitations. making the bikes here with keeping costs low in their mind, unlike yesteryears when the same manufacturers brought their liter class flagships in our country as CBUs at insane prices and to top it our dear concerned government levied 120% duties making sure the desirables stay desirable.
    Kudos to Honda and KTM for seeing what nobody else saw saw the performance hungry not so rich bikers, yes by 2011, the R15 was now seeming under-powered and Ninja 250R was still out of reach. Thank you the two of you for showing guts and creating the market of affordable quarter liters which didnt existed a couple of years ago. You did it and others are just following the suite.
    But our markets would not have been called maturing by just the 4 Japs and Austrians upping the cubic capacities. Its that our local trio has also plunged into this segment that is making me proud. BAL with the CS400 is a great looker, TVS with Draken though in concept, looks super promising and Hero has woken up from its decade long slumbers is enough for making its fans happy (Sarcasm intended ) The HX250R has all the performer statistics and Hastur is indeed generations ahead in terms of styling and engine displacements for Indians. Thumbs Up to all of you for putting smiles on the average Indian middle class biker who sacrificed his dreams for the EMI of his mid-size hatchback and home loans, till yesterday
