    xBhp got a chance to catch up the Chairman of DSK Motowheels Shirish Kulkarni on the occasion of their 100th Bike delivery celebration ride. He tells us about the way forward for DSK Benelli.

    1. Congratulations on the 100th DSK Benelli delivery in Bangalore! How does it feel to have captivated the imagination of the Indian superbiker so soon?

    Ans: We are thrilled at the phenomenal response that we have received. We were certain that Benelli bikes would do well in India but the results have far surpassed all our expectations. All of us at DSK Benelli are glad that the brand has been so well accepted. The powerful blend of quality, performance and pricing is the key to this achievement. So far our main focus has been
    on firmly fostering the Benelli brand identity in India, followed by exceptional after-sales support. We also have aggressive plans to offer these bikes to masses in a short time frame.

    2. What was the owner's response to the ride organised by the company?

    Ans: We had around 75 riders who participated in the event. The bike owners gave us some very positive feedback and testimonials which helped us understand that we are on the right track. In fact, most owners insisted that we should organise more such rides in the future. They were all quite excited about this milestone achievement and it was heartening to see them come to
    celebrate this legendary moment. This was a demonstration of their loyalty to the DSK Benelli brand.

    3. Will there be more such activities for DSK Benelli owners in other cities in the country as well?

    Ans: Yes, we will certainly organize similar events across India. We also plan to form a club with exclusive benefits across various verticals for DSK Benelli superbike owners.

    4. At the time of the launch of the DSK Benelli bikes in India, had you expected such a phenomenal response?

    Ans: As mentioned above, a brand that combines powerful performance and Italian superbiking heritage was bound to do well in India. However, we must admit that the response has far exceeded our expectations. Our marketing strategy has played a vital role in generating the right kind of excitement around the bikes and in arousing the interest of superbike enthusiasts.

    5. What do you think is the single biggest selling point of DSK Benelli bikes?

    Ans: The most definitive USP of these bikes is their top-of-the-line quality and unbeatable performance at extremely competitive price points. All of this is backed by our superlative after-sales support. Therefore, customers see a lot of value in DSK Benelli Superbikes.

    6. After seeing this response, have you revised your targets that you had set at the time of the launch of the brand in India?

    Ans: Not at the moment. We are concentrating on ensuring that we service the bookings at the earliest and enhance brand awareness in the country.

    7. How many deliveries have been done nationwide till now and what are the numbers you are looking at going forward?

    Ans: We have delivered more than 400 bikes and have registered 700 bookings till date.

    8. What has been the biggest hurdle in front of DSK Benelli India so far?

    Ans: As we were introducing a new brand into the country, the biggest challenge was to create awareness around the heritage of Benelli superbikes. A lot of people didnt know that Benelli is the oldest Italian superbike manufacturer. We had to help potential customers appreciate the value of what they were paying for.

    9. Could you please share your plans for expansion of the DSK Benelli brand in India in terms of new products, localization, and number of showrooms across the country?

    Ans: We aim to establish 40 showrooms across India by 2017. A lot of exciting products are in the pipeline which shall be unveiled in due course.

    10. To conclude would you like to say something to the DSK Benelli owners in the country?

    Ans: We just wish to thank them for believing in us and in the brand. Wed also like to inform superbike enthusiasts that we have a host of exciting launches in the offing. We are here to stay and grow the DSK Benelli brand name in the country. Our motto is to provide top notch customer service to every DSK Benelli superbike owner in the country and the customer is our top priority! This commitment is embodied in our latest campaign, Bond with Benelli, through which we are encouraging superbike enthusiasts to come and discover the power, design and exhilarating feel that only the super flamboyant DSK Benelli superbikes can offer!
