First Ride reviews are very much positive. So, hero is focusing on its bread and butter first. Business wise it is a very wise decision to make the base strong and then climb up the ladder.

I don't know what's wrong with their marketing strategy. It is already too late to launch their performance segment machines. Market is already being captured by Austrians and Japanese in quarter litre segment.
And Bajaj and Tvs will capture the rest.
It won't be easy for Hero to rule commuter segment too as Honda is increasing its market share as well in commuter segment.

Did anyone hear about Hero starting deliveries of the FI version? Need to buy it for my dad but the showrooms only have the non FI models with them as of today.
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

Actually xbhpians or any other online forums where people talk openly about new bike launches, riding gears etc are not part of the lives of common man. To them its a platform only of the riches, who use their machines to show off or as lifestyle products. One more thing not more than 5% of the users ever talked about the commuter motorcycles i.e. platina, ct100, cd 110, star sport, cd deluxe irrespective of the fact that it holds majority of market of last 5 years. The real problem in my view is that commuter motorcycles doesn't have the same thinking about them for example. Once i came across a mahindra centuro owner i curiously asked him how's the motorcycle, he said abused a lot and in a matter of 30-40 seconds he described about the handling, power of engine at low and medium speeds, unavailability of spare parts, shocking repair bills, kitna deti hai? Etc. Even when i asked the same question to a suzuki motorcycle owner he replied in the same angry tone what centuro owner said.
Commuter segment owners talk face to face with real praise or sarcasm whatever they have in mind.
