  • DSK Benelli to launch 302R on 25th July 2017

The wait finally ends as Motowheels and Benelli have confirmed the launch date for DSK Benelli 302R on 25th July 2017.

This announcement will surely excite a bunch of Indian biking aficionados who have been waiting for this faired sports bike to hit the road next month. xBhp was inundated with queries about this quarter litre sports bike from the time we covered it in our 0-100 Motorcycle Search.

Advance bookings for DSK Benelli 302R were started from 20th June 2017.

The bookings can be made at any of the DSK Benelli showrooms located across the country.

DSK Benelli 302R directly descends from the lineage of Tornado, which is reputed globally for its extraordinary performance and unsurpassed features. Continuing this legacy, the fully faired sports bike has been designed to offer the same luxury, appealing style, and great comfort in the sub-500cc motorcycle segment. Featuring the Benelli trademark trestle frame, DSK Benelli 302R offers an exemplary performance and enthralling biking experience with unmatched maneuverability, even in the harshest of all conditions.

Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Motowheels said, “It is quite overwhelming to see that DSK Benelli 302R is receiving such a positive customer response even before it has entered the market. This signifies the trust and brand salience that DSK Benelli has been able to develop amongst the Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. What’s more remarkable about 302R is the fact that the fully faired sports bike is a true manifestation of the Tornado pedigree, whose legacy has enchanted the global super biking community for about half a century now. Since advance bookings for the premium bike have been initiated, we are foreseeing strong disruptions in the Indian mid-range biking segment.”

DSK Benelli 302R comes loaded with a 300cc, inline two-cylinder, water-cooled, four-stroke engine. The launch of the sports bike is DSK Benelli’s attempt to capture as big a share of the mid-range biking pie.

3.2 lac to 3.6 lac approx as per various websites..

Considering just the power output, seems to be a hefty premium to pay when you get more power from the D400, and no slipper clutch either. Benelli lovers flame on

My only curiosity is to know whether this machine gonna have ABS, rest for the look it's really a tornado(Italian)/karizma(indian) and definitely not in my preferred list .

@abhiiceman - Oops, I meant Torque not power, Power is about the same. And I'm just going by the figures posted on various bike related websites -
First column is D400's and second is the tornado's

                    Maximum Power 35 ps @ 8000 rpm 34.9 bhp @ 12000 rpm

                    Maximum Torque 35 NM @ 6500 rpm 27 Nm @ 9000 rpm

You are right bro. Benneli takes above 8secs. It makes no sense to pay that much then.

Well, it is CKD, that's explains steep price of the bike, like other Benellis.

Major missing part is dominar is single cylinder naked bike and tornado 302 is twin cylinder fully faired bike.

Not to forget the tornado would have 10-20 kmph extra top speed.

More than top speed it will be refined riding experience.

Dominar is good in its segment, we should not compare it with twin cylinder machine.
