Jawa motorcycles has showed 3 new motorcycles at the launch event in Mumbai. One is called Jawa, the second one is called Jawa Forty Two and the third one, a factory custom called Perak to come later. The Jawa has been launched at INR 1,64,000/- (Ex-Showroom) and the Jawa Forty Two has been launched at INR 1,55,000/- (Ex-Showroom.) Jawa has revealed the price of the factory custom Perak will start from INR 1,89,000/- but will be introduced later.
Jawa and Jawa Forty Two are powered by the same engine which is a 293cc, single-cylinder, 4-Stroke, DOHC, liquid cooled unit. The bore x stroke is 76x65mm. The compression ratio sits at 11:1. It makes 27 Bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque. It gets a constant mesh 6-speed gearbox and a twin exhaust. The Perak has a larger engine, 334cc, due to the larger bore, churning 30 Bhp & 31 Nm.
The chassis and frame specs of the Jawa model have been revealed. The engine sits in a Double cradle frame. The front tyre is a 90 section and the rear is a 120 section. Telescopic forks at the front and twin shocks handle the suspension duties. On the Jawa model, 280 mm disc brakes at the front handle the braking duties with the help of ABS and rear is a drum unit.
The seat height is one of best parts which is at 765mm. It has a wheelbase of 1369mm. The kerb weight is sitting at 170 Kg with the fuel tank of 14 litres filled to the brim. The Jawa will be offered in 3 colors whereas the Jawa Forty Two will have six color options.
