You would have got used to the 200 after a few weeks
the 125 i believe can keep up with the d200 in the streets. at a price significantly lower than the present 200, it would be a good choice for those on a budget looking for a ktm.
so now the only thing left for ktm to launch is the rc250 !

The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory. That's the essence of it.

I'd fail to see the point to that really. It'd cannibalise RC390 sales and won't really bring in new converts. What KTM really needs to fastrack is bring in the 390 ADV, and the 790's. Now that would bring a fresh set of customers and a huge amount of interest.

This 125 gimmick and any iterations with the lower models will lead Rajiv Bajaj to another bout of repentance and confession a few years down the road.

The RC250 is pointless. The Duke 250 is between the Duke 200 and 390 both in terms of performance and features. It has the bodywork of the 390 but gets the console, brakes and halogen headlamps like the 200. The main selling point of the Duke 250 over the 200 is its 390 like design and not the additional 50cc/5bhp. Some people even say that the Duke 200 and 250 offer similar performance (at lower revs and due to added weight). So having a bike 2 bikes in the form of RC200 and 250 with the same design and similar performance is gonna be meaningless.

You missed the ADV 390 Bro. That will be a game changer once released, will be a revive in its price segment hopefully. A new set of people will roped in to the brand. Launch of D790 & ADV790 will be a bonus too.

i was just saying that the rc250 was the only one left out from the current crop. i don't think they will repent later if it came here.. i assume it is manufactured here and shares plenty of parts with its siblings.. in that case they have nothing to lose! but hey maybe discontinue rc200 n bring in rc250 for a change.

the 390 adv is probably a year away. and the 790's will cater to a whole different segment and would be wonderful if they are made here and launched at a mouth watering price

Duke 790 ❌ - We are not ready for this machine yet, PERIOD.

This is an overkill for the market here in India which is not mature enough to handle such bike at throw away prices, things will only worsen if it's offered at dirt cheap prices! It's better if the launch gets prolonged for longer period until the people mature.

It's the closest that comes to the Daytona 675R interms of acceleration and brutal power delivery. Imagine seeing this being ridden with "Rishab", "Kimi", "Recron" branded helmet!

I'll not be surprised if I see many incidents where the bike is just smashed into the wall, one needs to have enough education, experience, maturity, safety knowledge and ATGATT to get into a bike like the "Scalpel"

    I understand what you mean.
But even at a mouth watering price (say at even a very unlikely 5L otr), not many of the type of folks you assume will be able to afford it.
There are already powerful bikes (say not at a mouth watering price) that are owned and ridden by a few (and maybe not so careful riders).. All that's needed here is cash in your pocket

let's not get OT on this 125 discussion..
