KTM has launched the smallest Duke in India. The KTM 125 Duke has been launched in India at a price of INR 1.18 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). KTM states that the motorcycle will be available across all KTM showrooms in the country starting today.
The baby Duke gets a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine. It makes 14.3 Ps of power and 12 Nm of torque with the former arriving at 9,250 rpm and the latter at 8000 rpm. The engine is predictably mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The chassis is the tried, trusted and honed trellis frame which should ensure positive handling like the bigger Dukes. It also gets an aluminum swingarm and USD forks (43mm) upfront. Rear suspension is a 10-step adjustable monoshock. Braking is handled by a 300 mm disc on the front wheel and a 230mm disc at the rear. ABS is a standard fitment.
Where the styling of the international model is inspired by the Duke 390, Indian version of the 125 Duke is inspired by the Duke 200 in the styling department. The 125 Duke comes with segment leading features and is now the most powerful motorcycle in the 125cc segment here in India. But with that comes the price which also makes it the costliest 125cc motorcycle in India.
