Default Watch this Kawasaki Ninja H2 blow its engine at over 300 kmph!

There are motorcycles and then there are MOTORCYCLES. There are modifications and then there are MODIFICATIONS. And after that, there are blown engines and BLOWN engines. This piece covers all 3 latter (capital ones). So, a Kawasaki Ninja H2, modded to the teeth blew its engine during a high speed run. As terrifying as it may sound, the rider was still able to maintain control and even sound positive afterwards! He’s a tough one for sure.

    Here’s the video:

In the start of the video, the rider is doing high speed runs. In one, he went up to around 370 kmph and we wonder how he was still on the ground. Anyway, after that he goes for another run during which the engine finally gave in and blew. Now, that too might have happened at over 300 kmph as the title suggests. Fortunately, the rider was still able to maintain control and bring the motorcycle to a stop. But that does not alleviate the fear and sheer chills when the engine blows and the motorcycle shudders and the windscreen has fluid splashed on it.

What you see above is the exit wound from the thrown con-rod!

Well, it was heartbreaking to hear the rider say ‘she done’. But the man is one tough nut to crack and after the initial disappointment, promises to come back with a rebuilt motor next year! In the description he explains that this incident happened at the Loring Mile Harvest Drag Racing event in Maine. He also tells that his motorcycle is 2 years old, has 10,000+ miles on it, 300 + passes down the ¼ mile, 50+ passes in the standing mile, a few in the 1.5 mile and 1000+ on the street. His H2 was heavily modded to put out 300 horsepower and consistently raced as well.

That explains the unfathomable stress that the engine was under, constantly. The rider states and we agree, that at this level, parts are definitely going to fail sooner or later.

IMO!!! The bike's engine could not bear that much strain but it must have served well already in that 10K miles every day drag race strain

There's a redline for a reason. If you daly redline in each gear. This is bound to happen. Be it stock or modified motor.
