Yup, the dealers are saying deliveries will begin from June end...

Btw, that pricing, looks like a suicide mission

It's due to the bookings which has already topped the production plan of 3 months !!

Doesn't anyone think it's a bit overpriced like the cbr250 abs? There's both the option of either the Enfield or the Duke at this price point which offer better value.

Which is not surprising considering what I said a few days ago:

Assuming 200 plus bookings overall and a waiting period of 3 months already, I am guessing Honda imports 70 odd 300Rs a month which roughly gives an annual target of about 900 units which is feasible for what the R3 managed in a year.

Yes and No in a way, Honda have priced it less than D390 by ₹3K, everyone was hoping they shouldn't price it over the D390 and they have got this part right. Considering the D390 is fully built here and CB300R is CKD, well done Honda.

If we go by the process of elimination in the quarter liter segment, for some D390 is way too powerful and flashy, while the RE Enfield twins is too much old classic retro looking bike.
Apart from the Mojo(low sales and service network issues), Dominar (bulky, tall seat and less flickable in city), Himalayan(reliability issues on old bikes and ADV oriented) and the overpriced BMW twins there is nothing much in this segment creating a void if we exclude the twin cylinder bikes like the R3, N300, Benelli 300 etc. Other bikes RC390, RR310 have specfic sporty track oriented target market.

So for some casual rider who is looking a single cylinder modern looking bike unlike the RE bikes, yet not way too powerful unlike the D390, light weight 800mm seat height and flickable city bike unlike the Domi, with solid service support at every 5kms unlike the Mojo, the CB300R ticks every single box with full on ABS, stuble looks and USD forks etc etc!

This bike gets my thumbs up , apart from few little not so important niggles and quirks which has been already discussed extensively like the GPI, Swapped horn indicator position and long waiting periods , all of which can be solved or gotten used too over time.

I only hope in future they reduce the price even further with local assembly and/or even launch the full faired brother CBR300R and/or ADV bike based on this bike!

I had a conversation with a friend who think the CB300R is a little overpriced. This video is the result of that conversation.
