The on-road price of the EX250 Carb version is approximately $5,600 (Base $4,598+taxes+insurance+blah blah). The insurance is a killer and depends on the age, location, previous claims and type of motorcycle. The Ninja 250 is classified as a Sports Bike in the US, which means that the insurance for the bike might be higher than, say a bigger capacity cruiser bike. Unlike India, where the insurance is calculated on the basis of sticker price.

So the cheapest India price(Chandigarh) is almost equal to the US price, and mind you, the Ex250 US is a carb version. So apple to apple, we might be actually cheaper.
Good Post buddy... I remember posting prices from many countries just to make some people understand the wonderful job Bajaj has done for guys like us. But that didn't include the added costs.

Kudos to Bajaj.... they helped me realize my dream.

        And mine too

What's next after the 250R? A 650R? The riding position was super comfy - that's me checking the bike out in Big Apple.

Hey guys, we are going OT. Just to close matters, the bike is a Suzuki SV650, and many know that the Pulsar has design elements inspired by the bike.

Perhaps the 2011 Ninja 250R might have digital meters, just my guess. Because the pre-2010 650R had similar analog meters (to the 250R), but went up to a digital console in 2010.

Personally, I don't mind the current old school meters on the 250R, I like them better than the digital ones.

You just took the words outta my mouth buddy! I also have a very strong feeling they would do that to the 250R!

I like analog meters more as well. The needle indicating the speed is more thrilling to me than the numbers flashing on a digital meter.

Thanks pal, unfortunately the pro-biking outlets do not cover the prominent city/cities of every state. Orissa and Chattisgarh states fall among those as such, check out in Indore(MP), as Indore may fall as the next best possible option for you in terms of your residing area's close proximity. You can write to them: [email protected]
