The self correcting bit they are talking about is probably the lambda (oxygen) sensor in the exhaust. This is used in a closed loop FI system to measure the AFR. There's going to be no self cleaning. If you get dirt in your tank, you better hope the fuel filter does it's job properly. Otherwise you're going to end up having to disassemble a fair bit of the bike to get to the injectors and clean them.

@rennycornelius: The pillion seat can be replaced with a seat cowl ala the SBKs, look here: Kawasaki Ninja 250R | 2009 Accessories
Thats the advantage of having a split seat!
Bikes like the R15, Interceptor etc.which have a single seat will have the cowl strapped on.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

If, just before the model goes on sale, Bajaj themselves decide to put such a sticker, then, that's a different story, but the Ninja 250 does not come with any "250R" sticker, worldwide..
Btw... even I haven't seen any "250R" on the Indian going model (which are all over the net).
EDIT: One more thing that I can remember of is about that gears, you have to come to neutral always while you move from 2nd to 1st gear... you cannot go directly from 2nd to 1st... and it seems like works like that for all Ninjas (donno what it means and how it works).Last edited by chetanpulsar; 10-06-2009, 01:12 PM.Chetan

I don't mean to rain on your parade, just that we need to wait and watch what it actually going to be provided. I'm speaking from what I've generally seen in european motorcycles/cars. And since this one is going to be the Euro version, it should have all the same gadgetry.
