On normal usage - riding, you'll feel most vibrations ideally be around 3.5-4k rpm. This is irrespective of whether you're cruising on 6th or in-between. Its the quintessential Kawasaki 650 "vibe-range". After a while you'll get used to it.

Re: Z650 Ownership Experience Thread
Bumping up the old thread. I installed a MIVV mk3 exhaust as I got tired of hitting bumps. Riding solo it wasn't that bad but with a pillion it was terrible. I hit almost 8 out of 10 speed breakers with a pillion. So the exhaust has solved that issue for now. Unfortunately the exhaust is terribly loud. Couldn't make out from youtube videos unfortunately.
Those who have installed a windscreen are you happy with your decision. I am in two minds whether to do that or not. Haven't ridden the bike for long distances yet though thanks to this lockdown.

Hey ! Thank you for the above note. I too have MIVV MK3 in list of my next upgrades. But i had similar concern about loudness. You're running it with DB Killer ?
About windscreen, it was the first thing i ordered after i booked my Z650, I had TNT300 before I got Z650 and windshields have always been one of the first accessories I usually install as I am fond of longer rides (300-500 Kms) and occasionally touring.. to which windshields are always useful. Go for sports windscreen if you wish to avoid tall touring ones.
I have this one installed, which i got from Aliexpress.

Anyone here who knows any vendor or accessories dealer in person who keeps accessories for our bikes ?
I got these slim side indicators installed,
but little did i know that it would need their adaptors first to install aftermarket led signals. So these have been temporarily fitted using wahers.
Also looking for a decent tail tidy, but unable to find one which is of better VFM.
Also guys, as most of the accessories market is directly related with Chinese import, all seems to be stuck right now. So if you are planning to order something, then do it from an Indian vendors who have things in stock or divert yourself to expensive European brands for aftermarket stuffs. I have couple of shipments stuck already from Chinese/Hongkong vendors.
Hence looking for Indian vendors who might have stocked up.-
The best part of journeys are the stops you take in between.

I have so far received 2 chapri salutes from people with loud bullet exhausts. So not sure how to describe it. However all the youtube videos don't do the loudness any justice. Its definitely loud. I stay on the 3rd floor and the sound carries with ease to the house. But it has reduced the ground clearance issue I had so I am happy with that. The power delivery is a lot smoother too. Will get a K&N air filter as its recommended with an exhaust.

Well it depends who you ask. I find it loud but I like the sound. Its not unduly harsh. And yes its with a DB killer. But my wife says its the sort of exhaust a chapri would use.

Bumping up an old thread, has anyone of you needed to take this beauty through muddy roads and broken asphalt roads (think Bangalore)? I am interested in upgrading from my ns200, but I am hardly able to make up my mind on what i want. Exploring three entirely different segments and types for now: Z650, 310 GS and Versys 650. I know I am confused, but I really need inputs.
I am inclined towards getting a daily commuter for my office, but at the same time I want to experience the great power surges. My commute at times requires me to go over a km of extreme bumpy muddy road (there is not tar anywhere on that patch, just plain mud, and in rain it is a nightmare, but my 9 years old NS 200 has been managing pretty well). At times I might go out with my pillion, but rare, and at this point I do not foresee any long trips in next few years, that time is now gone. But my wish to own one of these beauties is still there and pretty strong now.
310 GS looks to meet the most criteria but heart is inclined towards a twin cylinder powerful engine. Any inputs would be appreciated.
