You moved on from a 200 to a 1000, how does it feel and how do you manage to control it ! And lastly, wind-blast, is it really that much of a pain or its bearable ?
    Thanks, ride safe
Only to a bike lovers eyes does it bring such joy, thank you bro.

We'll every bike legally purchased brand new to my knowledge always comes with RVM's I just prefer not to use them, a personal choice as it bugs me in close traffic. I've been around CBR 600RR and used it for a bit, (its a friend of mine's) So though i was not fully unprepared for the bike or the power. But still the transition took time, and yes it is scary and the controlling it part is still taking time lolz, it still controls me and teaches me a thing or two. Wind blast wouldn't be much of a bother if the weather is fine, but its the monsoons here now and it sucks big time above 130-140kmph mark
Been obsessed with momentum ever since i was born, but 0 - 200kmph took 30yrs! This will do for now!

I would highly recommend getting one of these:
    CB1000 R (08>) BEOWULF RADIATOR COVER,GUARD,GRILL H020 | eBay

It's a radiator guard, and is a boon to have in the monsoons.

Hey, it's probably a good thing that it took you this long to get your bike, you got yourself a new 2011 model, with the gold anodized front shocks. Cool!!

Enjoy your bike. Glad I could help.

    Ride Safe.
Gthang, my savior my friend my mentor lolz.. Thanks for your posts man, yours was the only ownership experience I could find on the internet and you have no idea how much it has helped me in achieving my dream, thanks a lot. Yes, I got the 2nd bike black one and the white was also delivered along with mine to someone from tirunelveli i think, he is an amazing bike lover as well from what I've heard.

Had a small rain encounter and my radiator took a lot of dirt, that radiator guard is what I've been looking for. Been wanting to get in touch with you regarding all the stuff, but missed out on meeting you in kari speedways by the time of my delivery. May be next time. In the mean time ill get that guard thanks a lot for the link!

Got a number of one Mr. kannan a mechanic from Arul (prasanna honda) is he the guy who fixes your ride up? he said he'll call back a few days a go but seems to be caught up.

Yeah the golden USD's are a nice touch, almost everything else remains the same.

If you hang out someplace, If its ok with you guys, lemme know if i could catch up sometime. It would be a pleasure Thanks again bro!

Be careful man. Invest in good riding gear (at least gloves and jacket). They say new tires work at only 40% grip of the tire's ideal grip. Take it easy on the first few days. Make it a practice to use both brakes. That rear brake can't stop the bike.
Thanks, that's good advice bro. Surely I will keep those in mind, still waiting to get the whole set of riding geat I will ASAP. Made the mistake of stepping on rear brakes a tad more than the front a few times, its a learning experience and I'm still learning, I will perfect it eventually. Cheers

    Congrats!
I respect this bike very much. Such a sensible bike. And the reliability of the wing.

They say CB means City Bike.

    Cheers!

We'll too bad in India, you don't get to experience much options before you buy, so far. Just had to go by, hearsay and reviews and hope for the best. Its been good for me so far, still you wonder what the rest of the leauge can do! :P

Reliability of the wing, reading from Indian CBR1000R owners with ABS issues, has not been good. But things change with experience of the dealers. So I'm hoping for the best The bike sure has been very sensible and not once left me baffled for handling being a liter bike. It sure is a CB (city bike)
