Congratulations hisunil. 2500 kms have passed already? I guess you were enjoying this fine machine... Really happy to know when someone's big bike dream comes true.
I still didn't understand why you called your 2015 Duke 390 an ambulance?

Anyhow congrats again, and do keep sharing your experience.

    Congratulations Sunil!

With 2500 kms on the clock please do give us a detailed review of your Enduro with lots of photographs as the short videos do not show much.

All the best for your ride and ride safe.

    Cheers

The Experience with Buying Ducati was not the Best!
Wasn't treated like a premium customer, had to often followup with many calls to find out the status and availability of bike.

Although went to test ride the bike, was denied and the bike was shown in the basement of UB City parking lot, where many were smoking and I actually got a headache and the entire experience of seeing the bike in a dark congested place with foul smell actually threw me off! my Wife also didnt like the experience.

When I sat on the bike, due to its active suspension and bike being Off, it was solid like a ROCK and very tall too! again didnt like it definitely knew that offroading this will not be possible, given its weight and height for Me @ 5.11" returned home with a heavy heart of no test drive, headache from smoke at the basement and the feeling that the indefinite wait continues! the bike was not even washed and had just returned from a road show too.

Continued to read reviews watch videos (even in other languages that I don't understand!) and kept asking for a test drive to the marketing folks.

Finally met other Ducati Owners reference by our @strider Ajay and learnt that the Sales is like that! but the bike is AWESOME and spares will be expencive but service will be around 10K and I remember Srikanth (Hyperstrada) and Vinay (Multistrada 1200s) said go for it and you won't repent it!

The Service guy called that a test drive on road is possible, I was asking for a mud road/ non tramac ride as its an enduro, but that was not possible and took the 2kms test drive, a colleague Praveen joined me for the test drive and had to miss few conference calls too.

In the test drive realised that the height is manageable on regular roads, the thing is WICKED fast in sports mode, you one realise where you pulled the throttle and where you now are, how you came from there to here is a mystery, its that fast! with 160HP and 250kgs I made my mind about the ability to handle the bike and its power and the different modes, still the clutch was HEAVY and first gere falls with a huge THUD.

Now it was down to Money, is 21L onroad worth it? you can get around 42 of my wife's Dio for the same price! how do you convince yourself as a responsible mature old man @ 40 that its OK to shell out so-much hard-earnd tax-paid cash for something that you will use very very rarely!

    More to come..

    Cheers

    Heartiest congratulation, Sirji!

Like the Monk mentioned in your introspect thread, we've seen the pictures. Now I open the forum to see this, BAM!
Wish you many more miles on the wonderful machine. Looking forward to your ride reviews and experiences - knowing you, I am pretty sure you'll take it to places and that'll definitely be a treat to the drooling folks. I, for one, am extremely keen on learning more on Ducati bikes and the related riding experience.

    Hi Sunil

Hearty congratulations on becoming a Ducatista... !!

Well i think it would be hopelessly idiotic to buy '42 - Dio' when you have already purchased one.... so you were truly wise to go for this beauty bro... !!

    I love the Hypermotard looks.
Did you test it out too ?

    Cheers
    Happy motoring.

    Thanks Sir,

yes its been to places and already dropped on both sides the Enduro pack that came almost after a Month was sitting in the service center waiting for an appointment to be fit on a tuesday and the fall happened on a sunday, If Only they could prioritize in either placing the order (which was not done till I paid 1L advance) or at least fitting it once it arrived nothing would have happened, not even the small dents and scratches on the side steel panels. more on it a little later.

@dnewguy It's one way to look at cost/price and possibly the right way from an absolute utility standpoint. The ROI does not exist actually it's not even an investment!.
No I couldn't try the Hyper, actually with lot of try's, calls, emails, persuasion got one test ride of the Enduro that I wanted to buy, so trying other models was out of question and I had no interests too.

    Cont ...

So what made the decision was two fold
    1. Fortunately I have not regretted anything as yet ... and didnt want missing this to be the first thing
    2. I already need to see a physiotherapist to ride it now so five years down the line, I think it will only get worst

Hence against all the logic and math, just following intuition, went ahead and made the booking....
After all very few things excite me now-a-days and didnt couldn't pass this one

I Enquired for the Grey one as it came with the Rally tyres that I wanted world wide, but then India is different !
learnt in India what every colour you book you get the same trail II tyres, so asked them to book red and did the transfer.
