This is not the way to test the oil pump!!!

Not sure if the oil pump costs so much, anyway, I'm not sure either. You can opt to use premix at your own discreetion & be prepared for both pros & cons.

Upto you; the SNS suspension from Discover is good one & very soft for solo ride & you need to switch to step 5 when you're riding with pillion. Be prepared for this adjustment too. Also the collars at the top are not direct fit, however, its a minor tweak. All said, it suits well though.

@aargee what are the pros and cons of premix? I have been running my motorcycle on premix since the last 2 years I think... Also What is the correct way to test the oil pump? I yanked the little 2t oil tube from the carb and revved the motorcycle for like 2-3 mins and no 2t oil came out of the tube thank gosh I am using premix otherwise the engine would have died completely

    /me scratches his head

Well, I don't know either, you may want to take it to Y.A.S.S & observe how they do it because I run premix over 3+ years now.

Maybe there s an air lock? I remember a mech at Patny's Hyderabad doing something which he called 'air out' Apparently, if you refill the oil tank when its almost empty it causes n 'air lock'. I have no idea if this makes sense though

@NitinGirish I bled all the air out of the pump using the bleed screw.

Guys I bought a Michelin M45 3.25x18 tire today after a bit of tweaking we were able to fit the tire in the bike to my surprise after riding around like 75 kimis or something my motorcycle is still churning very good mileage it's like 42 kimis to the liter, also guys I was in the market today asking about the cylinder kit. There are lots of supply (local made as you would say) cylinders floating around and this shopkeeper he told me something that has really baffled me. He says even if I get a new cylinder kit from Yamaha Agency I can never be sure that it isn't a supply grade but a genuine cylinder as yamaha does not manufacture parts anymore. He says there is a Chinese cylinder kit that goes for around 4.3k INR or something which is very very close in build quality and material to the original Yamaha RX100 kit. What do you guys think? I know it could be his selling tactic but the guy has a point!

What's Yamaha agency? If you meant Y.A.S.S, then, I'm damn sure they wouldn't sell a fake one in a box piece with bill, VAT & tax.

Its true that YMIS is no longer supplying the cylinders & I guess this is the END of all 2 strokes in India.

Yes yes Y.A.S.S they call it the "agency" here sorry for the confusion. He said some Y.A.S.S they directly get their stuff from Delhi and in most cases it is the supply stuff

42kmpl on an RX Do you push around the bike

I don't know if the quality of Yamaha spares is on par with the local ones but defnitely they are not on par with the parts the bike originally came on. However, I would still advise you to go for a OE Cylinder kit for peace of mind.

Please provide a feedback on how 3.25 feels on RX. Its effect on acceleration, topspeed and cornering.

Very strongly agreed!!! Mine is less than 3 months & I already witness rust on few parts. But most parts are OK like exhaust bend pipes, its collars, coupler, exhaust silencers. But still there's a leak from the cylinder exhaust & cylinder no matter what you do. They're are not matching perfectly though all of them are OE
