A good friend of mine and without whom 135 re-build would NOT have been possible-Ashok got this done for me. Let me speak to him in the evening and let you know the details.

EDIT: +100 on asif's tip on needle gauge. Rare item, so please do preserve it.

Thanks for offering Help Ananth. Yeah, kind of addicted to 2 stroke so could not resist myself so I ended up buying one.
If you ever start a RX project, don't worry, I'll be there to help.

You're absolutely correct. Though the oil gauge is not available across the YASS. Have already got a used one but yet to check if it does leaks or not.

    Spares update:-

Today :- Reed Valve (36Lxx) for 100, Reed value for 135(2YA), rubber manifold for both 100 and 135, few cycle parts like rear foot rest and rubbers, fenders, headlight rim and back cover (as I'm planning to plonk DCM Toyota doom/reflector),brake shoes (250 bucks! each ), 2T oil tank lens and gasket.

    Already procured:-

G series Cylinder piston kit*, Head assembly, Minda blinkers, Gas tank and side shield (only right as of now), chain drive cover, seat assembly, Emblems/ Monogram, engine bearing kit, engine oil seals, clutch case packing

    Still to come:-

Flasher relay, ignition coil (locally called buddi coil), left side shield, speedo stay, rear tail lamp and stay, wiring kit, speedo electrical wires and bulbs, 2T oil pump.

    Planning:-

Crank shaft assembly, rear arm weld(swing arm), rims (I was told Sandhar or something like that make only available not Mandap), might go for HH rear wheels spokes, wheel hub(F&R), fork bottom if found the inner tube is good.

I like it Y? Because all critical spares like bore, head are bought first.

What is wrong with the present crankshaft assy? If the play is within specifications, I suggest not to replace. After seeing so many spare parts on 100 and 135 I am certainly not impressed by the quality of the spares. What comes along with the bike has the best quality. Ofcourse, if it shot no other option but to replace.

Brand new chain covers from factory have different paint colour and finish, which to my best knowledge cannot be matched by painters outside. If you get new chain cover and decide to get fork outer tubes, brake hubs, engine covers painted there will be slight (?) mismatch in colour/appearance. Do factor that also in your procurement strategy

^ I've edited my post. . As you suggested will replace Crank assy if required. However, procuring a spare would help just in case after opening up the engine found to be at fault. (Least would not run for spares and delay the restoration).

@Dafc:- Will add CDI in my list.

I've a mini spares shop at home; let's discuss to see if you anything could be of use. How about magnet & coil? Planning for stock or RDD? If you want stock, I've 94's stock kit with me + plenty of axle nut & bolts + cables + air filters etc.

Wait for a...let's meet on Sunday

Sorry to say, but somehow I feel this is a cake walk for you & I'm already seeing (or may be hallucinating) a completed bike.

After experiencing 90/100 lighting kit on my other RX, contemplating to retain the stock magnet and coil plate kit. Also, right now priority is to finish off the formality of ownership transfer which is already initiated.

Might bug you for spares at appropriate time.

Even though I have some idea of going about restoration, unless seeing it through, until then processor will keep running in the background involuntarily and you know what is it like.

Yes, we will discuss this Sunday.
