    Thumbs up

Deepac:- Your restoration is excellent. Hope you follow the run-in religiously ensuring that at any point of time 2T oil is being drawn in. Please vary your speed around the marked 40kmph to ensure even break-in on the cylinder walls. Also main point is that never wait for 1000kms for the oil change. Please change the oil soon as you reach 500kms or watch for the oil color change. Reason? If you had replaced bore kits, crank assy and internal parts that of engine, there is every possibility the metal parts scraped during the run-in might get on to the gear box oil. So it is advisible you run the engine on cleaner oil.

Here there are many 2 stroke members have done restoration to almost perfection. So you expect to learn/come across many pointers from them.

    My observation:-
    01. The pic doesn't display the 2T oil tank side.
    02. Mirrors missing as Aargee said. (Fiem/Alfa Toyo/ OEM Yamaha)
    03. Cylinders if painted cannot do any now so leave it.
    04. Dents on the silencer will remain life long. However, new chrome pipe can still make it to your bike and would not hamper the exhaust note costs close to 1.8k. (ask me)
    05. Fuel filter/clamp missing.
    06. You'll need to add RX100 bore rubber which comes in small beed type to fill the corners. I added it later after careful review by experts. Will post pic tomorrow.
    07. I believe you have put extra horns.

I'm no restoration expert but a learner here. There are many who have restored their legends and you can go through their threads to learn more. Never late to learn is my policy.

    +1; exactly my point saar
So whats your point? The factory finish is raw, unpainted one. While restoring, you can get it again by sandblasting it. It surely doesnt look black.

burrrr there's no paint on the bore, the black thing aargee is ranting is actually the shadow of the fins the pictures you take with a camera have a perspective projection the converging light rays make it look like as if the bore were painted black. There's just light sandblast on it that's it. Aargee time to buy spectacles I guess. @OP don't stick with the 40kmph advice thrown around so vehemently keep varying your speed stick it 50ish max in the 4th and keep playing with throttle always, no need to add extra 2t oil if you have a properly calibrated pump going.

Sriram hate to burst your bubble but you'd have bigger problems than just looking for an oil change after 500kms or so if the "debree" from the combustion chamber/crankcase per se had a way to make it to your gearbox. Small 2 strokes don't have a wet sump, that's why you add 2 stroke oil in petrol they depend on the crankcase compression for lubrication :P you don't need to change gb oil that early it is just too much of an overkill and you are just pissing away good oil.

Factory finish is better than painting due to dutifulness during restoration; all it needs is a good, clean, quality WASH.

Mr. Right is back! If the gearbox is new or clutch assembly is new even then it is not required? Whatever it is, i'll go change the oil after 500kms and overkill my bike..lol
