Put the old flute back, simbul.
Unable to identify whether the Old flute is original or not. The length of the flute is very short and in a result it was very loud. I replaced it with the new rx 100 flute which costed approx 110/-. After fixing the new one very horrible sound is coming. Pls help to get the rx beat back for my rx.

What are the differences between the 100 head and the 135s? for my own lack of understanding the 'bowl'of the 100 seems smaller than the 135's. Would this smaller 'bowl'increase the pressure in the cylinder? I had replaced my 135's head with a 100's till I find a replacement head of the 135.

I came across some forums that states that a smaller squish results in better combustion and more power, so far I have not felt or found any difference, though it seems nice to think that there might me some extra power made.

The 135's head surface area is larger than that of the 100 and you cannot just replace the 100's head with that of the 135! That would not even seal properly!

I am sorry that I did not mention in the pervious post, it was one of the 'flower heads' and not an OE 100's head, on examining the 'flower head' and my own 135 ' bowl' where the spark plug seats, the 'flower head' had a smaller ' bowl' and to my mech it was for the rx 100.

Take a vernier and measure the flower head (supposedly from Thai/Indonesian). But I believe they are short of 58mm dia to seat on our 135.

    Hello everyone!

    I have a 1997 Yamaha RXG

My problem is a leaky carburettor even after fixing with new gasket and o-rings
I didn't have a vernier caliper to measure the float height so, I set it using a metal scale/ruler

Experts please advice tips on rebuilding the carb so that it won't leak again.
    Thank you!

    Hi there!

I think its better to go for a brand new float. Get a carb reubild kit. Replace the float and the float needle also. Mine had a different float needle so it was leaking all the time.

Float is the same for 100,135 so whichever you get should be fine!
