I bought oils for the motor. My plan is to run the engine with not the best oil for the run-in but the worst grade 2T oil. Actually piston beds better with quality challenged oils. I even thought of going for loose oil where Autorickshaw drivers used to get them, then refrained fearing impurities that could harm the liners.

This 2T engine oil is nothing great but cheap oil and costs just 120/- per 1 liter pack. Its always available near my home so can be bought when required.

For the gearbox went for Castrol 4T oil, since I could not get 1 liter pack, hence 2 bottles.

Sriram avoid the GTX since it is meant for Car engines and contains Moly which will lead to clutch slip....Use quality 2T like Motul or Castrol Super TT , since a good 2T reduced temperature spots and build up and does not have burnt out deposits , which will enable your engine to set in properly. Poor quality 2T will leave deposits and will lead to a scratched out rings and bore.

Sarin, PSR Sir, sure. I'll refrain using GTX oil and 2T. Already having Motul 2T so, I'll buy shell 4T oil for the gear transmission.

Here is the continuation on the rebuild. Saturday, I've opened up the engine and it was a sealed engine. SKF bearings and crankshaft with 2YA connecting rod intact. Pretty much the same as any engine, however, have carefully packed all the internal parts including nut screws bolts washers etc.

I have got most of the core components for the rebuild. So if at all, those taken out from the engine should come handy otherwise.

    Update on the paint job:-

Glad to see the paint work has been completed from the new guy.

    Things to go still:-

    1. Paint shed - Sticker - clear coat
    2. Wheel truing - front and back
    3. Need to make front number plate as RXZ mount point is unique as we don't get the from the shop anymore.
    4. Time off from work.

    Good job going there @SriramEfunds.
Just a suggestion here - No matter which ever component you are working on, make sure you clean it as much as possible before disassembly. Otherwise there are good chances that the debris might scratch or damage the fast rotating components in this case. However, you clean the component before you assemble them but still there might be still some intrusion of unwanted materials like mud etc.

Thanks @augmentor. I did not have time to go give the bike for waterwash before I could have it disembled. I will be doing a clean job to the crank cases before assembling.

    Update:-

Body parts - stickered and clear coated today. Will be taking delivery on Friday.
Plonked the RPM worm gear on to the clutch case.
Wheel truing shop closed to day - so I'll have to check tomorrow.

My house now looks real mess with painted parts, boxes of new spares, wheel rim, frame etc. Uff! I've made a small chit-chit listing out the spare parts scattered across the corners so I don't search later. So I'm trying to find a space to take snaps of the spares.

But in meanwhile have couple of pictures of bearings that will be going into this restoration.

NSK for Sprocket and wheel bearings. I wanted to try out something new other than FAG and SKF:-

Yes, you are correct. Koyo is a brand of JTEKT Corp. incorporated in Japan and I've seen many bikes abroad having Koyo bearings and even oil seals. Let me try to put a picture of Koyo oil seal which I saw in RPM worm gear kit from RXS100.
