it all started one fine day when one of my students told me about an old bike that he had at his home which he had rebuilt. he had already known about my love for automobiles as i had bought his mahindra bolero in the past. i dropped every thing and took a days leave and went to his home. i was thunderstruck by this beast parked in his garage. we talked about it for long and i came back in the evening after riding it for a short distance.
THE HISTORY OF THIS BIKE - This bike is owned by one of our professors. it had been his father's bike. he had bought it from a britisher when he was pursuing his mbbs degree some where in the north. the britisher had ridden it from england to russia and from there into india. the bike was ridden by our professor during his teens. after that it had been standing idle in his ancestral home for the past 40 years. my student chanced to see the bike and it was in a very bad condition. he brought it to payyannur and had it rebuilt it to the present state.
    HISTORY OF SUNBEAM -
Sunbeam s7 and s8 were british motorcycles designed by Erling Poppe based on BMW R75 designs that was acquired by BSA at the end of world war II
Manufacturer : Sunbeam Cycles Limited ( subsidiary of BSA )
    Prodduction :1946 - 1956
Engine : 487cc parallen twin OHC four stroke which drives a shaft to the rear wheel.
    Power : 24 bhp (18 kw ) @ 6000 rpm
    Wheel base : 57 inch ( 1400 mm )
