Default max 100/ 2 stroke mechanic in chennai

    Hi All,
I just moved to chennai for work, staying at Besant Nagar. Purchased a 2000 max 100 for daily commuting.
Need to get the bike serviced along with quit a few replacements eg. clutch plates.

I went to a mechanic near my place and as soon as he rode he bike he told the engine has to be rebored. I dont want to do it
as it would require a lot of care again for the breakin period.
As for when i ask anything else he says he cannot say anything unless he opens the engine.
The situation is also compounded by the language barrier.

the engine does over-rev very quickly (but the throttle cable aint fully functional, need to get it replaced) and the comfortable top speed is 50.
personally very happy with the motorcycle for single commuting.

Could some one please direct me to a trusted mechanic.
If any senior member here is ready to offer advice its be gladly accepted.

MAX100's engine doesn't die easily. So I doubt you would require a rebore if your daily running is low and you don't plan to keep the bike for long.
Just do some basic servicing like air filter cleaning, fitting a new spark plug (if needed), decarbonizing the engine and silencer, cleaning and lubing the chain and finally fit a new accelerator cable!
I think you should be good to go.
