    Default Riding Instinct

At 3:30am, in almost complete darkness, a MAD guy standing on NH22 with its CBZ-X somewhere few kilometers before Solan is wondering where to go?

    FRIDAY NIGHT 7th May

Sometimes in life, few things just happen and you cannot justify the reason. The same happened to me on the last Friday night.
After several hot days, it rained in the afternoon and all I could do just gazed at the rain for few seconds from the office window. Day ended, my best buddies set the program of a night show of a movie. It was a wonderful breeze outside when the show ended at approx 1am. I just drove to my flat and entered the room, but there was something which was pitching me. What? Why somebody would waste this amazing time and the wonderful gift of Nature, I decided to go for a ride. Where? Will be decided on the way.
I hit the road at 2:05 am. It took me no time to catch NH-22 as my room is a few hundred meters away from it.

    NH-22: before Pinjore:

It was the first time when I was riding in the night, except the times when I got late while coming back from Shimla around 7-8 pm. But I pretty comfortable and really excited because I just wanted to know what it feel like when a solo rider goes in the night
One thing that I felt in the night was there were almost no vehicles on NH22 to scare you with their headlights and make you struggle to indentify the road, but sometimes I had to use the high beam on the turns. As per my experience this is the best or perhaps the only way to avoid kissing the valley.
It was approx 3:30 when I reached Solan. I was standing the road where it bifurcates: one for Shimla(the proper way) and the second for Solan market, from where it leads to Yashvantpur (or Gaura). The road till Yashvantpur is in good shape but after Yashwantpur it just a kachcha rasta (towards Chail, no idea how it is towards Rajgarh). I had a concern whether I should continue on NH-22 or experience the solo ride on a lonely road, but it was a testing day and I took a turn towards Yashvantpur.
It was around 4:30 when I was standing on the Gaura River Bridge at Yashvantpur. The dogs were also sleeping at place. I stopped, took out Haldiram and water bottle. The place felt so serene which in spite of being inhabitant place of homo-sapiens. What a wonderful feeling it was! I just cant explain.
After 5 minute I started towards Chail. I had to use my cell, because I was too lazy to get the batteries for my camera in the weekdays. it was all dark on the way, the graveled path was really testing my commitment.

God son was there to greet me after 30 mins.

I reached Chail at approx 6. Bought the batteries for the camera and headed towards the Chail temple. The place is just like no other place. I like the place so much that since first time in June, I have visited this place at least 10 times (believe me) and it is different all the times.

Went to the market, had aloo paratha and tea and started back to my den. On the way had a 10 minutes road side nap as I felt somebody else is driving my bike. Reached Panchkula at 11. I was so happy that the entire day I did nothing.

The path from Gaura to Chail is such as you will hardly find anyone during the day as well. This ride has omitted all my concerns and fears of night driving even on a lonely hill path.

    Thanks for your time!

    Regards,
    Ranjeet

@ridermax - buddy, pls don't quote the entire text, it simply makes the thread difficult to read. Try to edit or avoid it going forward. Tks.
