So its 800 Kms from Vellore is it? Its precise 755 Kms from my home to PRS Hospital Killipaalam. The winds are really treacherous & no wonder there're 1000s of windmills deployed to generate electricity.

PS - Never knew you were native of TVM. Did you have chance to meet any xBhpians there?

Welcome home? You should drop by the TVM offline thread and introduce yourself... we have quite an active community here...
Also, can you give me details of the BP outlet near madurai that you mentioned, as in how to locate it? I've had trouble getting good fuel on that route...

            Surprised!!! Really surprised Lijo!!!

Its on to your left side when you come from Madurai towards Trichy in the bye-pass. Its actually Ghar Dhaba & can find an outlet of A2B. It was a huge attention during 2007 when the roads were being constructed. There's huge hoarding that you can never miss.

Sry, can't find out in Gmap. Its in Melur, just about 9-10 Kms after Madurai when you're coming towards Trichy. Like I said before, its on to your left side.

Nice 'instant' ride with a crisp blog. Thanks for sharing. How was your butt after 800kms?

As for the crosswinds along the wind mill farms, OMG, on my south india trip, I was riding at a crazy tilt angle for some good distance & controlling the big BMW with me, pillion, luggage etc all close to 450kgs needed some real effort.

thanks haroon. my butt was in soup i should say. but thats way it is as ninja has a sort of stiff track oriented sus. yeh i i went through your write up it was real good. nice that you too made it safe especially since your better half was riding with you.

the winds will subside from about august to march and then pick up again in full

congrats on your trip sir..its always happy to see someone doing out and out touring on ninja..whats are the speeds you did?? and throw light on the fuel efficiency you got..i am asking about the fuel efficiency because its very important to have an idea about the full tank range of the bike when we are on tour especially when we cant fuel stations(good)
R.I.P vinu s v,you will never be forgotten
