hey Ajay, thanks a lot brother. No, there is no river as such near Chail but yes, I guess, there was a river flowing through Sadhupul, Kandaghat which is now a mere stream. Sadhupul is 15-20 kms from Chail & Shimla.

Sure Poli is. I will share my experience for sure. I got a lot of inspiration from Vishwas (trustinvishwas), Narender and a few more I cannot remember top of my head.

    Default Final leg

So, 12th Night, we had our dinner at the Palace restaurant. It's quite pricey. Food is good too. During the daytime, we one tragedy. I had got fixed anti UV lens onto my cam, Canon Powershot SX30 IS. Since, it's not an SLR, the HOYA anti UV was made to fit onto it. During, the afternoon of 12th May, my camera had a fall from the table. Though it was inside the cam bag, the UV filter got cracked, thankfully not the cam lens. So, packed up the cam. Used my mobile cam for shooting few pics next day, that's 13th May, the day of our return.

We did a morning walk onto the Lover's Hill

    Looks quite beautiful...

Wifey got some pine oil on her hand (later realised that it smelled good too!)

    Investigation on

    So many diff hues....

    ladder !

That's the approach road inside the Palace estate

    Palace garden

Watched Satyameva Jayate & then left the hotel at 12:30 PM for Kalka.

Till Solan, the roads are good but not very wide. I was taking very easy & my wife was pretty relaxed. After Solan, roads become wider & then the fun part of riding starts. Man! I had a blast riding & sweeping the corners till Kalka. I was easily overtaking buses & cars all of whom thought me to be a crazy rider but I must say here that I took extreme caution while overtaking. Truck driver seems to be the well behaved who would signal me to overtake as when the roads ahead were good. The roadways buses, horrible. Cars couldn't make out what zipped past them, be it Santro, SX4, XUV etc. My advice to fellow new riders to the hills, never ever take a blind corner in the hilly roads without having an idea of the oncoming traffic. Keep an eye on the road curving ahead onto the next hill where you can see the traffic clearly.

This was the structure which falls enroute. Seems like some hotel coming up.

Reached Kalka at 4:45PM. Waited at the station for her train which was scheduled to depart at 18:30 hrs. She boarded the train at 17:45 hrs & I left for Delhi. I wanted to cover as much as possible with evening light & made good usage of it. Took in all total 3 breaks, 1 for to call her & giving her update, another for a quick snacks break at Sonipat & last near Delhi boder as I was running out of fuel. Reached in-laws place at 9:30 PM half an hour before her train arrived

So, overall a relaxed & much needed break from the monotonous life & rediscovering. My very very special thanks to my wifey dear for agreeing for this type of journey, my FIL for helping me with the Kasauli accommodation & last but not least my Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSFi.

That's a very good trip nice to see one more travel log from you. Your travel logs are the one who inspired me to buy a new bike so that i can go to these places. And belated Happy Anniversary .

    HEY Ahish,
Thanks for the appreciation. No matter what bike you have, you can very well tour. Just know your & bike's limitation & take care of your bike, especially engine oil change & lubrication. You won't be dissapointed. BTW, which bike you bought?
