Default Ahmedabad's Bike-O-Grapher Leaves for LEH

Ashik Khan, CBR250R, Heavily Modified (No performance Mods, No Show off Mods, Just pure Touring Specific Mods).

His tentative plan is to ship his bike from Ahmedabad to Delhi by train, which has been done, and now hoping he gets his bike safe there. He left to Delhi via Ashram Express.

Day 2 Get to Mandi or Manali or Kullu and get a room for night hault.

    Day 3 cross Rohtang

From there get to Spiti, TSO MORIRI, LEH, NUBRA, PANGONG TSO, Srinagar, Amritsar, Jaisalmer and back to Ahmedabad. If anyone on the forum is also planing a similar route or is crossing these routes in the coming 15 days get in touch with him.

You can get his contact number from me, just send me a PM.

I will try my best to post a list of Medicines, tools, goods that he is carrying as well as the mods that he has done to his bike, as for now posting his departure photos.

His plan was sudden as leaves were a issue, so the past 4 days have been really hectic.

Learned a lot about Railway luggage rules today, unfortunately we had to unload all the luggage from the bike and got into a lot of mess, but eventually all kept a cool head and unloaded everything from the bike and re-packed it just in time. A big thanks to Rutvij without whom the 2 of us would have never managed to get all that done, and then get all the luggage to the 6th Platform.

More updates to be posted as and when I get any.

He just left 3 days back we are also all waiting for his pictures.

His CBR250R was in perfect shape when he got down at Delhi and he was carrying 2L of Petrol with him in his luggage so he was able movve out faster.

He reached Mandi on the Second day and took a night hault there and was in Manali at 9:00 am when I last talked to him, will keep the thread updated if and when I get more info on his whereabouts.

Sorry for the delay guys, but I was not getting through to Ashik and then I got a bit busy myself.

Latest update on Ashik Left for Spiti but with the roads being too bad had to return back, on the way back he encountered another group of bikers headed towards Chandar Taal and he joined in, being an HMI Grad he could not suppress the urge to trek, they camped at Chandra Taal for 2 days and then on Saturday late evening he reached LEH and met up with a group of 3 Ahmedabad based xBhpians and since then they all have been together. On Sunday they were on their way to Pangong Tso.

After that I have had no update from any of the guys (now a Group of 4).

I await updates from them and more importantly I wait to see some pictures as well

    Details of Luggage

Bro I had to take Sleeping bag the rear hanging black bag for camping purpose as I got a tent for rent. Another wild adventure of its own to camp at every place I can. Then a Jerry can of 10 Ltrs capacity for extra petrol as the plan was to visit Spiti valley from Gramphoo, camp there for 2 days and back on the same route, Chandrataal lake visit included in the path.

Saddle bag with essential spares ( gear lever, Clutch cable, Brake lever, Few fasteners, chain tension-er nuts, Engine Oil 10w30) , my tool kit and Rachet (from Ayaz Bhai), medi kit with ORS and energy tetra packs, tissue paper, wet tissue, cold cream, face wash.

Tank bag had few essentials like atlas of J&K and HP with Indian atlas for easy reference in case i get lost in some suburbs. Thermal liner of jacket, few chocolates, and bag of polythene( just in case). Laptop charger and 2 Shorts.

Bag Pack- this carried the life line for me, with chocolate bars, Glucose powder, few essential medicine tablets, ( wud post the details of medicine later)
My DSLR cam with extra prime lens,
Laptop covered inside a lip seal plastic cover with silica gel inside. (to prevent any water particle inside)
Charger for both cam, mobile and 12v Adapter for mobile charging on the go.

On top of saddle there was the tent on one side and a tripod on the other side.

It was a fully loaded CBR and i had to handle the whole luggage n delhi station and all other places after that...

    Trip log coming soon..
