    Bekalfort is around 60 kms south of mangalore on the coast. cannonore or kannur comes much more south. From ooty going west u can hit the coast at places like calicut, kannur etc. Like wise can take man roads from coast to bangalore kinda running parallel to the Bangalore mangalore road.

    Glad you liked em Anup. It almost getting more and more dry now. Can try it in mansoon to see full glory. But dry season is where you can spot more animals in safari.

    Spent quite a time to go through all the thread Praveen. Really nice narration and nice pics too. The bachache thing is really alarming. Do something for that.

    What I found in Karnataka in my recent trip was, there were very good stretches of road and very bad stretches too in the same route;the two extremities. I have seen some of the worst roads I have ever seen in Karnataka.

    There are many ways to get to Kasargod- Most prefer the Mangalore road...
