Thats true Tso moriri is not a real good strech but its best place to be.
Nubra valley is some 150 kms if you wanna see all places in nubra valley.
Buddy some times its always good to have some info in prior that can make your journey most memorable one.

any idea about the distance between nubra valley and leh? only curious. want to keep things simple for this trip.

well hope you must have got your bike serviced.
Rest I will say carry heavy winter clothes as you can expect -10C in strech between baralachla and Pang. I slept in -4C in June.
These guys are from czech. republic and yes they are leaving on 25th and they are 9 guys- 6 gurls all individual bullets + a backup on jeep. So hope you meet on the way.

hmm my bikes on 14,600 kms. 400 kms to go. then gotto get it serviced and then will push off. latest by the 27th. earliest by the 25th.

you can always be ahead of them as in case you have backup.

hi lovemax. will msg you before i leave. i'm thinking of scrapping the dras/kargil sector. some guys in office have just come back from zanskar. they're not recommending it. plus no fantastic views. will just go to leh->khardung la and back.

Appreciate your effort. And i will say wonderful idea. But I am simply asking you one thing - Why Meerut-chandigarh ?
I guess 2nd stopover at keylong would be a wrong stopover while you can make it at patseo or after Baralachala.
And Stopping at sarchu is a seasonal stop which at this time can be hard to find as stopovers at several places are for seasonal periods.

Yes I will suggest you to carry atleast 4 litres[2L X 2]bottles. Well that can be enough but Nikhil dont forget that its rough and petrol in case you buy from anywhere else might not be good fuel on the way. So better carry your own.

Well I have done Delhi - leh only once but I have done keylong delhi 4 times.
And I dont suggest you to come from Dras/kargil besides roads are good but conditions not.
My friends cuz brother gypsy was blown in front of thier eyes and I will rather die my death myself then from someone else's fate.

Confirm me before you go. And I can guide you on few tips. Just to be on safer side. Ride to Khardungla might be good only if you leave before 25th this month.

Make sure you are carrying extra tube for both the wheels. Just ping me whenever u want to know more.

i'm going solo. the proposed trip is ... meerut->chandigarh->bilaspur->manali(stop over)->keylong(stop over)->sarchu(stop over)->leh(stop over)->khardung la->back->return via dras kargil.

what i wish to know is whether it shall be necessry to carry extra fuel after tandi? my bikes tank can hold 15 ltrs. will that not be enough to take me to leh?

also how many times have you done delhi->leh? have you ever come back via dras/kargil or was it back thru manali?
