It was a sudden plan during our lunch at office a week ago...One of our team member is moving to Delhi this month... We just thought why don't we plan for a day trip nearby Bangalore... Everybody agreed and no surprise drop outs except Preetha... All set to start by 6 AM in the morning...

The plan was to assemble at Bellandur by 6.30 AM, Sandhya will board the car at Bommanahalli and Davi will join the Ride after Electronic city toll gate.
Due to various issues the departure got delayed. Myself and Varun started our ride by 7.00 AM and met Davi at Electronic city and we three rode till Attibelle toll gate and waited for others to arrive in car. Once they reached we all started together and stopped at Hosur for Breakfast @ 9 AM. After finishing a yum breakfast we started our journey towards ‘Anchetty Stream’.
From Hosur Bhaskar joined me as a pillion till Hogenakal to avoid Palani’s Mokkai (Just kidding )
The route is Bangalore – Hosur – Denkanikottai – Anchetty – Hogenakkal. This is two lane and the roads were in excellent condition which has made the ride so enjoyable. Without waiting for the car to follow 3 bikers have started maneuvering on the road which goes through the farm lands and after Andevnapalli into the ghats and hills.
The GPS lady told me that my destination has arrived, But Davi and Varun has zoom passed the location. Myself and Bhaskar have decided to wait and started taking some pics, Soon came the Ertiga with majority of the gang and within 5 minutes the missing bikers took a U turn and reached us.
The stream has dried out so no view of waters, but the location itself is too good to spend some time. I am sure that you will get some pics for your DPs. A couple of tourists from a Xylo wanted to take some pics with our bikes… Permission granted

Continued our Journey and the heat has increased, we stopped again after Anchetty village to hydrate ourselves and discussed that this route should have been taken much earlier in the day to avoid heat and dust. From this point we have decided to ride non-stop till Hogenakal, as an exception I was stopping at couple of places to operate my Action Cam (ThiEye T5e).
All of us reached the destination by 12.45, the parking space at Hogenakal is excellent (10 Rs for vehicle entry and 10 Rs for Parking). Decided to have Lunch at a nearby hotel before we enter the waters, food was ok kind. If you reach early, you can opt a cook who prepare Fish, Chicken, Rice, Sambar and Rasam at a reasonable cost.
Time to take Coracle 750 per boat and max 4 persons per boat for 2 hours. We took 3 boats and 3 on each, life jackets on, started floating in no time. Lot of safety and security measures these days, all the operators are registered to a union with uniform, CCTV cameras to check overloading, cleaning boats at 5 PM every day and so on.
We bargained with the operators and fixed 1300 RS extra to drop us at an island and wait for 1.5 hours and bring us back.
All coracle operators are taking the boats very close to the falls and make sure that we are wet after 30 minutes of ride with Music (Courtesy Manoj) we reached a beautiful island or river bank with one side bordering TamilNadu and other with Karnataka.
You can also see coracle with snacks, tender coconuts, Fish stalls etc.,

The moment we enter the waters (Only Hip deep), we all found out the kid inside ourselves and started doing some silly stunts (Manoj is the initiator). We also enjoyed the free pedicure inside waters, many pics taken and few time lapses too. After spending over an hour, we boarded the coracle to a small water fall near our starting point.

Small fall with lot of force and big fishes here for pedicure, we were not able to stand in one position because of the fishes biting our foot. Enjoyed bathing in the falls for half an hour, felt like coming out from a Spa …
At the waterfalls:
We were overjoyed and paid 1500 instead of 1300 without much bargain to share the joy. Returned all our Life Jackets and went to ‘Aavin’ shop to have a yummy tea.
Here comes the best part of the food ‘Banana Bread and ‘Walnut Brownies’. Thanks to Sandhaya for making an amazing snack for the evening.
Costumes changed and decided to take Hogenakal-Dharmapuri-Krishnagiri-Hosur-Bangalore route for easy riding.

First stop at ‘Mangalam Hotel’ for dinner, few of us decided to have dinner later in the night, this hotel was my choice and didn’t disappointed this time too.
Decided to stop after ‘Attibelle’ toll gate, it was little difficult to ride after a day full of riding and playing in waters, by 10-15 we were at the toll gate and took a much-needed selfie together.

Bid ‘good bye until we see again’ to all and reached home by 11.30 PM.
