    Fact is:

the overall vehicle C.G as well as the rolling radius of tyres wil increase irrespect of the degree of wear since the aspect ratio wil not change..

Anyway it will not create a drastic changes..but the rear wheels wil start fish tailing earlier than before..
Its not about just vrooming the engine, sharp cuts, top speeds...A true biker should understand his machine

After two weeks of abusing the tyre, I can say this is much more better than the stock ones. I rode on wet roads when it rained, and by rain I mean torrential down pours. The tyre was good and no fish tailing happened even when breaking hard.

I also did some off-roading with it and I am quite happy with it. For me, the tyres turned out to be much better than the stock MRFs and I am loving it.

It however remains to be seen how long these tyres last.

The other choices AFAIK is Pirelli 130 section tyre which will be available in Cochin(Auto Queen) shop, the price will be almost ~3500... when i went to change the tyre i saw a guy who was there for changing the rear tyre to a MRF high profile one(can't remember the model), as you are from TVM goto the MRF showroom at panavila near Bakery junction and ask about it... My personal opinion is to go for the stock one itself... many guys are putting FZ's tyre on P220 etc.

I did go to the MRF Exclusive store at Panavila (Ambady Tyres), and they did have the rear tyres for FZ. The guy said it would cost around INR 2900. He did not know if it was soft or medium compund.

    Post Current Price in Bangalore

Any thoughts on the current price in Bangalore for the replacement tyres for FZ16?
I checked with one vendor and he mentions 4.5k for Pirelli SD and 3.5k for the stock MRF..

Recently, at I saw an FZ with MRF 120/80 tyres at Hilton Yamaha service centre in Thiruvananthapuram. It did not look bad at all. And it was a perfect fit.

    120/80 ?
even with 120/70 theres hardly any space between the tyre and the tyrehugger. how the heck did someone fit a 120/80

    Even I wondered: 'am I seeing 120/80?'. I took a closer look.
Yes, it was 120/80 17 inch tyres.
MRF, something, I can't recall what the model was.
Not only that the tyre hugger was in place too.
