Default YAMAHA R15 V2.0 Tyre change

Hai, I have recently changed the front and rear tyres of my Yamaha R15 with Michelin pilot street 140/70 R17 on rear and pilot sport 100/80 R17 on front. But now the performance of my bike had dropped very low. I use to ride above 130kmph without any lose of stability or handling with my old stock tyres. But now it's too difficult for me to go above 120 kmph. Above 120 my bike is losing stability and it is not gaining speed. But for cornering it's now way more better than stock. Please suggest me a way to solve my problem. .
    Thank you

    Query approved.

Hi, I hope that you get the solution for your problem asap

But assuming that you are doing these speed runs on public roads, which is extremely unsafe, I'd suggest you to adhere to the speed limits as prescribed by the law. You are not only putting yourself in danger, but other road users as well.

what i know R15v2 rim is made to reside inside 130 rear tyre,,,,, any measurement tyre greater or lesser than that wd surely crop up issues similar or different,,,,,,

I think the front tyre is the culprit. I remember my friend changing the rear to a 140 section Michelin and having no problems. In fact, the grip and handling improved, plus there was not much difficulty reaching 140+ (of course not on city roads, but on an empty stretch of NICE road).

@sunilg: At first I was taking high speeds at public road. But later l realised its dangerous for me and others too. So now I choose early morning when there no traffic to check my speed. Anyway thank you brother. Ride safe.

@Lone, I thought bigger tyres would improve the stability, but now its another experience. Next time I will definitely go back to stock. Anyway thank you Brother Ride safe

@Shashank: Yes, that's true. Now I realised that. Michelin pilot sport is not as good as my My stock MRF tyres. But Michelin pilot street is good. Now my front tyres are not at all having grip at wet surface. And it use to skid most of the time . It's having low traction. Thank brother for the reply. Ride Safe

Pilot Sporty is infamous for its terrible characteristics. Get rid of it.

Stick to stock. It's the best tyre for the R15.
