Did some gear shopping yesterday to replace my dilapidated Probiker gloves and cramster knee guards. Bought a pair of Spartan Phaeton II gloves and Perseus knee guards. Luckily enough, I got the last pieces in both

The gloves were really stiff when I bought them but broke-in after just after a few hours of riding. Now they fit perfectly.

Ample amount of protection for your scaphoid and carpal bones. Very impressive considering the price!

Coming to the knee guards. It's a pity really that they are meant to be worn inside. They look wicked cool with those tribal graphics and the SPG logo over the knee!

You have to just wear them like a sock and strap on 2 Velcros. As simple as that!

The KNOX Type-B armour is removable whenever you need to wash the sleeve. As an engineering student, I know what elastomeric polymers are capable of. Believe me, that is some really high tech stuff right there!

As for pricing, the gloves were for Rs.2100 and the knee guards were for Rs.2500. Utlra VFM considering the quality and amount of protection and you get. Kudos to SPG!

Hey mate.. Congrats on your purchase. I was just about to post and ask for inputs on the same stuff that you have bought.
So finally have decided on Spartan Icarus Jacket, Spartan Perseus knee guards and now Phaeton gloves as well (after reading your post).
Thinking of changing my Helmet as well. Planning to go for LS2 helmets, the ones for 2800 as SOL helmets seems to be on the higher side.
Any inputs on LS2 helmets would be appreciated.

    Thanks. Ride safe.

Please check Speedking at Karol Bagh. They are the only one in delhi who receive stocks from the only authorized distributor (i.e. laxmi Auto, Pune) of LS2 in India.

But I have a request, please refer back to the thread after you have zeroed in on a LS2, why, because there has been a recent controversy with one of the LS2 model .............. take a look at some pages back to know more

Congrats ............. keep us posted with your week/month-long review. That will be seriously helpful.

I am too one user of Perseus and am feeling a few sorry points to discuss about the Perseus, but will do after I have a considerable experience with them.

    Warm Regards,
    Pranav

It's not that cold in pune during winters so I think woolen liners won't be required. The leather ones would work fine and much better than mesh though.

Thanks! Well the thing is, I also have the same 2800 wala LS2 and well to be very honest, it's a clear cut replica . The original LS2's sell in the range of 100+ Euros so there is no chance that the one I have or the one you intend to buy is the real deal. Although it does feel and look like it's very protective, I still remain kinda skeptical purely because of the fact that it's a replica. Even the ECE Certification sticker looks like someone got it printed separately and just stuck it over the helmet with some glue. Apart from that it has a significant amount of quality issues, it's noisy above 80 and it fogs up in instant during the colder months but hey I'd have to be nitpicking considering how much I paid for it. I've already purchased a Joe Rocket RKT-201 which is currently at my cousin's place in New Jersey and hopefully it will be in my hands within the next month. So my recommendation would be that you save up for SOL.

Sure thing. It did get a little sweaty when I was wearing it for taking the pics but I think that might change when I am on the move. Giving it a test run tomorrow. Let's see how it fares.

    Hello guys,
please help me in choosing a proper riding glove.
background :- I expect to get my bullet delivered in next couple of days. Ride will be mostly city (45 kms max); occasional touring to places of interest (max 500 kms for the start)
The options that I have from DSG are as follows:-

    DSG Nitro Gloves : 2499.00
    DSG Revive Gloves : 2499.00
    DSG Carbon Gloves : 2999.00
    DSG Primal Gloves : 2999.00

I will prefer to go for the XL size.

What is the basic difference in the above models (Price is not of utmost concern over here). Which model to choose and for which occasion?
I enquired at the local authorized DSG shop at Pune, (Roadies, Pimpri), but the salesman was not able to provide any information.

Also this might sound silly, but does the gloves come in boxes? The salesman with whom I interacted had them wrapped in some "hanging-plastic bags" and informed me that there are no boxes (in other words, the gloves are not box-packed). I am therefore doubtful about the genuiness of the same.

    Please help me...

    Kind regards.
There is always a solution, It just needs to be tapped.

I have sent my helmet to Zulfi ( Bachoo Motors ) for inspection if there are any cracks r if there is any major damage. Luckily no cracks were found by Zulfi but the visor is costing me Rs2000/- and the clips that hold the visor costs Rs1000/-

No other option , so have to spend Rs3350/- ( Rs350 for shipping )
