    Default Timbuktu Air

This is my latest buy from USA. My friend brought it back to me. This is Hein Gericke Timbuktu Air jacket. It's a touring jacket, and so far I am very glad I bought it. Haven't got a chance to take it to streets yet, planning for a small weekend ride to open it up.

These are the features as per the manufacturer's website:

      • Insulated waterproof / breathable Sheltex removable liner
      • Safe-Stitch seam construction
      • Adjustable collar, cuffs and side waist belts
      • 2-way zipper controlled arm / underarm vents and back vent
      • Hydration pocket system for 20 oz. botta bladder (sold separately)
      • GPS pocket system on the left sleeve (I still can't spot where it is)
      • Water resistant 330 Denier nylon shell
      • Removable CE-Approved Turtle Armor in shoulders and elbows
      • Lumidex reflective material
      • Retail: $249.95

I am attaching the product photo, as well as my pics wearing the jacket. It is mesh on chesh, hands inners and back. Back protector is not much, so planning to upgrade it. I got it at a good price of 90$ shipped.

Those knee guards are again gift from abroad. I usually wear a 40 size shirt, and the jacket is medium, which fits good. Only in arms the armour is bit loose, I may put some velcro straps on the biceps to hold those in place.

Now planning for a new bike, present Caliber115 is doing great, but need a fast steed for weekend rides specially.

The stuff in closeout/saleout/salerack etc is the same one as regular, unless specified. They are usually clearing out stuff to make place for new one. If there is any defect or anything in the product, it is mentioned in the details.

    Question

They only have "Cramster" brand. Can someone comment as to its quality of these gaurds, I cant find any reviews.
Although, PlanetDSG have the Alpinestars Gloves and Knee/Elbow Gaurds.

^ Cyberpunk : "Icon" stuff i.e jacket, gloves, knee/elbow guards are not available at any stores in India..!! Instead you can order it from some online store in US...like newenough, but the thing is you will have to pay heavy shipping cost with it for importing your stuff..!!

    Hey

I recall Angel's Racing jackets were used for the GIR I think? My budget is around 5 K 6K max for that. I wanted a decent jacket with CE approved armour. Cramster offers a few an I think so does Angel's. Planet DSG was a tad expensive for me.

Does anyone have an reviews on them? Personal experiences? WOuld be much appreciated.

I recently ordered motovation frame sliders and axel sliders and in the comments told them to write "samples" on the plastic bags....asked them to remove all te boxes and packaging and not to even send any invoice in the package.

And viola....it was cleared without any custom duty te goods were for arnd 250 $

And yess for apparels i am sure its 14 % bcoz i hve paid it just 4 months back.

    Cheers
