I recently bought a helmet for around 6k in bangalore jc road from adeshwars.
The helmet says it's dot certified.
I wanted to know whether it is a good buy or not.

it will depend on actually how big it is. you know these days everyone claims they are big

Take a tape and measure it, google for videos on helmet size

Balaclava are generally very thin. No effect of it on size. I have one. You need to have balaclava that has thickness in inches

read the stickers inside, what brand it is ?

looks like a cheap chinese rip off of KTM. Original KTM helmets are made by Arai and cost a bomb (>20-30 K i guess)

Why ride fully covered in Riding gear on a hot Summer ? Because road rash from hot asphalt hurts more than sweat

But do we have to take their advice word for word.
I have measured 56 cm so do I buy a Small size or Medium ?
As according to them 54-56cm is small & 56-58cm is medium. I know I can try it on & check but what if someone wants to buy online..

Shoes and helmets better not be purchased online. Returns is a hassle and packaging/handling in India are not always up to the mark.
              Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

                Hey guys,
I had bought an MT Axxis helmet, along with an Iridium visor as an accessory. Helmet being too big for me, I was never able to use it, till I got it exchanged from Spartan Pro Gear for an MT Revenge.
Now the issue is, the visor is unsuitable for the Revenge, so I have a brand new, never used iridium visor which can be used with either the Axxis or the Blade, and hence I'm planning on selling it off.
MRP Rs. 850 on SPG, please PM for selling price discussions, as well as pictures, condition etc. that you would like to know.

                Thanks!

                  Hi Everyone

Posting it for everyone to know. Not sure if anyone has posted it before (this thread is too long to search).

I can see that SPG has got multiple versions of MT helmets in stock now. Before i was aware of only Axxis, Blade,Matrix and Revenge being sold in India. But now I can see that they have got in the more premium offerings from the MT range like the MT Kre (full face) and MT Atom (modular). Even the Matrix and Revenge are now back in stock.

I now wish I had waited for a while to upgrade my helmet. I went to purchase the Revenge and ended up getting the Blade since the salesman told me that the Revenge is no longer imported into India.

I wouldn't worry too much about blade/Revenge, quite honestly I went with revenge only because of 5 star SHARP, I found blade really really comfortable in fact, more so than the revenge.
Kre altogether is in a different price range, so you can't really fairly compare that. Since you're concerned with blade and revenge only though, I would say don't really regret it, there's barely any difference

Likewise bro, I went for revenge but dealer told it's not being imported now so bought axxis which looks bulky but fit fine.

Revenge seems better with sharp's highest rating.

They have now mugello too .

                          I second Divya,

Even if you are planning on buying online, at least go to the shop and try for fitting before ordering. reason is helmet fitting vary a lot, head is not spherical , everyone has a special shape.
Also not that after a week or 2 the sponge and fabric lining gets compressed and the helmet will become loose, so always buy a tighter one so that it will become comfortable eventually.

when you are on the border, better go for the smaller size
