  • Need opinions For a New Bike!

Hello guys, I come to you with something in mind that most teenage boys have had in theirs at one time on the other : Stunting. I own a 5 month old R15 and can do 'some' stunts on it, till date I've tried pop-up wheelie and stoppie.

I've had a decently major accident while one of these stunting sessions and I ended up with a lot of front end damage. Now I have two options:
    1. Leave stunting alltogether
    2. Get a separate stunt bike that won't hurt my pocket as much as a faired R15 would.

I guess you know which option I've chosen as only one of them requires me making a what bike thread.

I'm looking for a 'stunt only' bike (R15 will continue to fulfill my touring and commuting needs). My friend suggested me to go for an RX100 but I have doubt about the availability of spares (also, you dont get good strokers easily these days). I'm thinking about a 150cc 4stroke machine, something like a classic pulsar or an apache 150. My priority here is cheap and ample spares, so I think that a pulsar will be a better choice, correct me if I'm wrong.

My first question is, should I get a 4stroke 150 or an rx?

Second question being what should I look for in a stunt only bike? If this were a machine that I was putting to normal usage I'd look for a good engine + no vibrations + overall condition of the bike, but as this is gonna be used rarely and I'm definitely gonna break stuff (learning you know) shall I look for something that is lower priced with bad internal or shall I go for higher priced with good internals??

        whats your budget?
p150 is great but if you want a proper stunt bike rtr160 is the best...

Big fan of RTR series, although since it is a relatively new bike, I might not get one inside my budget.

          Budget : 20-23k

For stunting? I don't think so buddy, 150cc 4stroke / rx is what I require as a minimum. I'm not looking for mileage here.

                  Anyways, thanks

@stuntmaniac - For stunting the main thing you'll have to look for is a light weight bike that is easily flickable. the Apache 160 is a good option. A 2nd hand bike from 3-4 yrs ago might be available in your budget after some negotiations.

Haven't found any luck while searching for an RTR within 25k.

Though I've seen p150's being sold for 13grand too (horrible condition though).

Try to look for P180 or P200.....spares easily available and cheap too...

Spares for Apache is the main concern....

RX very hard to find a good bike, but even if you get one it will need a lot of maintenance (read twice a month mechanic visit)......so if planning on buying it, be prepared to spend a lot on mech's bill+spares+fuel()

Go for The Pulsars ... Most professional stunters like the #Grz still perform on Pulsars.. you'd easily get a condition Pulsar for 25k..
                            and yes, stunt safe !

It'll be difficult to get a decent condition P180 or 200 at 25K. I sold my earlier P180, 4 year old for 40k. The best bet then is a P150.
