Exclamation Upgrading from Dazzler, 27.02.12 deadline... Advise?

    Hi people,
I'm planning to upgrade from my Unicorn Dazzler. What I like about it and what I'm looking for is reliability, handling, decent fuel economy, and a top speed above 130 kmph:

    R15: My current preference,
    worries : height(I'm 6.2 and weigh 87 kgs).
    body pains: wrist and back.
    low end torque - acceleration
basic touring. Not more than 100 kms, but one day I dream of a 667 km drive.
    Engine smoothness.

Why I'm considering this above the 200NS and Duke: They all top out around 135-140 so no real benefit in the other 2, R15 has better mileage less acceleration for me thats a decent trade off.

CBR150: I've always loved Honda for the Unicorn.
    Worries:
CBR250's terrible service and spares record.
    Low torque
Higher price for no real reason.

ZMA and P220 not considered because I value handling and harbor doubts about the life of Bajaj bikes.

My dad wants me to decide by Monday or wait till April. Counting on you guys...

    Go for the R15!!
Its a great bike both for city riding and also for touring.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

Considering your height, i don't think r15 is the bike for you. Why don't you check out duke?

    wait for pulsar 200ns.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

Honda CBR250R is killer...This bike is good for city commuting as well as Highway & can easily attain 130-140KMPH... :-)

But as CBR150 is just around the corner..you should wait for it....

    i would prefer cbr150 over R15...

Guys seriously thanks for replying, I appreciate it, but since the thread only started yesterday afternoon, I now own an R15 2.0.

About the Duke and 200NS: I felt they were too impractical(fuel economy), given that the only advantage is crazy acceleration and higher top speed. The top speed is something we never see in cities and rarely on highways. The acceleration is probably more than I can handle, and in cities quite dangerous, for people like me who just moved up from a Unicorn.

About the CBR150: Everyone knows Honda's quality promise but their spares availability and service are among the worst particularly with the 250, comparing that to R15 which has been in India for 3 years, R15 seemed safer.

@argee, not sure I got what you meant??? Perhaps you mean to say Cbr's extra 1 bhp is unimportant?

@Vishaskh, no offence dude, but ZMA doesn't have monosuspension and weighs more than 150 kgs. Its a good touring bike, not really a corner specialist. At least that's what I'm told.
