Default R15 or 200NS or something else

Okay guys i was almost on the verge of buying a bike last year .But plans got scrapped due to a new car in the family ,the Honda city.but the rider bug in me couldn't stay away for long.so finally parents have agreed to book my bike on my birthday i.e. 4 August.
I've had short TD's on certain bikes but most of them were purely stupid

Okay something about me and my usage pattern first :

    Height 5.8
    Weight 85 kg
    budget 1.3 lakh
    Daily usage 25kms
    weekend usage 30kms
90% of riding would be in city only

    Needs:
    An awesome looker
Decent FE(not a big deal +\-35 would be okay)
    rare trips to service centers
    Good performance

    Bikes Shortlisted:

    FZ-16/Fazer

    Cheap(relative)
    Hassle free
    Decent efficiency
    good pickup
    but very very common

    Not a good contender

    R15
    Costly(read: Max budget)
    Awesome looker
    Technologically advanced
    worry about mileage

    the Best contender

    Pulsar 220F
    Proven
    Fastest Indian
    But very common again
    reliability issues heard of

    Okayish contender

    Pulsar 200NS
    cheap(relative)
    new technology
    Not tried and tested
    good reviews

    good contender

PS: i don't have a flair for cruisers, not will i be touring, so Enfields and avengers aren't considered. Don't like the RTR either. i know considering my usage a R15 doesnt suit the needs but i dont know .inside i have that thing for R15 especially V2

Please suggest me something very fast because i have exactly one week i.e. next Saturday i ll be booking it.
    Thank You

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

if most of the times you gonna ride alone then close your eyes & go for R15V2 otherwise take a pillion rider along with you on TD & ask if he/she is comfortable on it..& if not, then only go for any other bike(say P200NS) under your given budget..

hey , your answer is there only with your question
your heart is beating only for R15 V2.0 it is an awesome bike with decent FE [ 40-45 sane driving and ~35 for red liner driving ] but the only thing is your usage since your usage is 90% in the city traffic you have to adjust yourself according to R15's seating posture. TD other bikes also you willl know more cons & pros of all bikes and then decide

If you have "That Thing" for the R15 V2.0.. then go ahead and get "That Thing".. don't think twice.

You wont' be doing tours or long rides, purely a city ride!!

But why Duke is not in the list ??

Is this has something do with looks ??

I see you are more towards looks, becuase you directly pinned on R15 and especially V2.0

Yes it's an awesome bike but i guess you should go for R15 only if you are die hard fan of R15's every bit!! It won't give you anything less than 35kmpl under any condition, say high speeds or daily city rides.

But INMO you should go with Duke, it has advance technology too. It's short gear ratio is more comfortable in city, 200cc more better than R15. Especially DUKE is more nice in city you zip through traffic and gain speeds instantly!! R15 is not that great for city ride due to it's riding posture!

But please go through the reviews in ownership thread for both bikes.

FZ and NS removed because you have 1.3L budget.

I ve convinced my folks to exten budget till 1.3.sorry cant go beyond that .cant afford the DUKE or CBR 150 so didnt venture there

BTW,Just back from a short TD of 200NS
Man o Man ,The bike is sure heavy .Leave aside the yamahas its heavier than the erstwhile fastest Indian

After TDing NS i m like really confused now
it was awesome power at the right wrist .
but when earlier i had test ridden R15 it didn't feel like so much power at lower revvs

Hear says R15(purely for technology and looks)
    Mind+practicality+saneness says 200NS

i m just scared about reliability issues of NS being bajaj

PS: i drive a honda city and love redlining all the time(u ll understand if u ve ever driven a honda)
90% of my riding will be in city
    is R15 feasible ?

    i m in a big dilemma people
this is my first bike so dont wanna mess it up

R15 & NS are completely of different style ... First Decide what type of interest you got

Riding faster then every one else will only guarantees you will ride alone.

its not about body style of a bike for me.
finally u r heart says something

considering all my requirements NS fits all the bill.
    but R15 whenever i look at it.gives a feel
in flesh NS is muscular but too short in length

    ns should be your choice
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
    #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.
