What a great bike it is.
+1. I would happily exchange my CBR every weekend for a ride on some of my wish-listed bikes:

    1. Pulsar 200 NS
    2. Pulsar 220F
    3. Fazer
    4. GS150R
    5. Gladiator (yes, I miss my Gladiator RS !)
    6. RX100
    7. Classic/TB 500 (I know this dream won't come true!)

And ofcourse the ZMR - but I frequently swap my CBR with my friends' ZMR - so it doesn't figure in the list!!!!
SriKi.GSpian and Divya Sharan like this.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

i made a rough inquiry and they quoted a price of 73k for GS150r on roads, still looking for one among friends for a td..
my cousin then told me how he paid 74k for Apache 180+3k on registration!!!

is it worth the premium i am asked for a difference of over 4 hp and 2.2 NM?

Inspite of all the performance figures, the Apache has never been considered a touring bike and has the infamous vibrations above 80kph. So yes, even if it has better performance at the same budget, you'll miss the GS's smooth engine and the touring capabilities

You want to ride a brand new bike from Panjim to Bangalore? I wouldn't do that because of the following reasons:

    1. You are not yet familiar with the bike, it's limits and limitations, ergonomics and other crucial factors.
    2. The bike would be making it's first ever run, and a non-stop 500km would stress the engine beyond all limits.
    3. In case of any major issue, you'll be stuck in the middle of nowhere looking for help.
    4. Hassles related to interstate transfer.

another bomb-apache 180 costs 88k OTR w/o ABS in bangalore(ABS got discontinued i am told)
suzuki gs150r costs 90k in bangalore where i study, but costs 71k in delhi where i stay
THATS ALMOST DIFFERENCE OF SUBSTANTIAL 19K OR 20%......

.do prices differ from showroom to showroom as it does from state to state..i belong from a north-east state and i was there when my cousin bought his Apache 180(last November),he paid 74k for the bike and 4k for the registration..i guess it's all because of tax difference.
please guide this poor wannabe biker regarding this tricky part
