Question New 2014's Pulsar 150 or 180 for my criteria

    Hello Guys,
I came across this forum when i was discovering the same question. But i found info about Old model pulsars rather than New 2014.
Xbhp Guys please suggest me, I am in dilemma to buy whether Pulsar 150 or Pulsar 180 for my usage.

I am 6'2' height and weight according to height not lean. I love Pulsar bikes. So i decided to buy only P150 or P180 as they were in my budget too.
I will drive 20 km at an average from Town to village. Occasionally will drive 200-300 km in touring. Sometimes pillion may be my mother. So i want to use my bike for both college and home purpose.
Today i visited nearest showroom and observed both bikes clearly. P180 don't have saree guard,Chain guard. They said new 2014 pulsars giving 60 km mileage (P150), 50km (P180) don't know whether they are giving really. 5km mileage variation doesn't matter in my case.
My way of thinking like this, I don't want to lose these hot features (180cc engine, Tubeless tyres, both disc brakes etc.) by paying Rs. 3000 extra. Am I Right ????
So i am planning to buy Pulsar 180.

    My Questions are

    1) How much is the mileage variation with P150 and P180 ?

    2) Can we change saree guard for elder ladies sitting comfortability ? If so how much it costs ?

    3) P180 coming with Tubeless, I don't have any clue regarding tyres. So, tell me Which are better for our Indian Roads and Economical view ?

    4) Chain is visible to out. Can we fit chain guard like P150. If so how much it costs ?

    5) Does P180 has slight large tank for Riding comfortability for Tall persons ?

    6) Finally, when 2015 Model Pulsars will arrive showrooms as I am planning to buy in New Year ? or Should i wait for a month to grab 2015 model ?

    Thanks .

    1) How much is the mileage variation with P150 and P180 ? - P150= 45-50 kmpl , P180= 40-45 kmpl
    2) Can we change saree guard for elder ladies sitting comfortability ? If so how much it costs ? - No idea, better ask the showroom guys itself
    3) P180 coming with Tubeless, I don't have any clue regarding tyres. So, tell me Which are better for our Indian Roads and Economical view ? - Tubeless tyres are always better as they dont flatten out suddenly, you can ride it just by filling in more air until you get time to repair it.
    4) Chain is visible to out. Can we fit chain guard like P150. If so how much it costs ? - No idea again.
    5) Does P180 has slight large tank for Riding comfortability for Tall persons ? - Not much difference between P150 and P180 really.
    6) Finally, when 2015 Model Pulsars will arrive showrooms as I am planning to buy in New Year ? or Should i wait for a month to grab 2015 model ? - Buy 2015 model as when you want to sell it to someone it will make a difference of 1 year in that persons eyes.

Pulsar 180 is based on p200/220. So it's better than p150 on almost every aspect(brake, performance etc). From my observation, a chain guard cannot be fitted since the swing arm is oval compared to p150's rectangular one. Mileage is around 50 when ridden sanely.

Both bike's are nearly identical in seating. I'd suggest you to have a td on both bikes. P180 has higher turning radius. See if you can handle both the bikes safely..

I have seen tall people ride both the bikes. But I guess the 180 would be better due to it's sporty stance compared to 150's commuter stance, allowing your knees to be in the right posture. Also, p180 is little bit more updated compared to 150. So I'd say 180(may be since I own one). If you wish to own the bike for long time, go for the one which your heart prefers, which I guess is the 180 as you mentioned..
