After waiting a long time, came the reply from management. Unfortunately, its nothing to be happy. Offered a discount which i am ashamed of quoting here. Guess plans should be dropped

Again, my GM had talked with the CFO to make an ideal decision. He told" if a good price can be quoted people will be ready to buy it". I hope there are CBR lovers in here. Do let me know if anyone is in(hopefully the management offers a good price to liquidate their stock). You can PM me with your approx quote.

Attaching some more pics, i guess the pillion seat removed to store the battery separately.

Mibin, are they all with Continental tires? From the pics, it does seem so. Also, what about warranty?

Tricolor CBR is a 2012 model IIRC. So, 3 years depreciation + new battery + probably new tires + oil + coolant + resale hit -> I'd expect at least 60-65k discount on the ABS model and 50 odd on non ABS. Calculated with many assumptions here and there.

Yup, I guess conti tires. About warranty, it was said as " from the date of sale" plus we can opt for EW also. So that case is solved. But 65K discount s pretty hefty amount. Don't you think? i quoted around 1.6 for ABS(guessing 2013 models were close to 2 lac on road at that time). As of last week it was 2.12 for ABS and 1.8 for Non ABS

Mibin...What If some internals have been exchanged for Service Parts ? the bikes look abandoned and not cared for at all.....and at Rs. 2+ Lakhs ABS or 1.8L for Non ABS it is a very costly proposition....Like Mr.Divya Sharan said ,these bikes need to be discounted deep ,since they are the old lot....further the Warranty clause in India is very vague..the Parent company can refuse the same based on VIN and date of Manufacture.....there is every chance that the bore inner would have formed rust pits, and is not going to last as much as a new bike engine.....
Stay away from these bikes and buy a Fresh new one, since there is no great price advantage, at the Price you had indicated.
    Just my Thought.

    PSR sir,
I read someone calling you that. The internal parts exchange is a serious issue that i dint even think of. Thanks a TON for making me remember that. Also the inner rust problem is also a big problem for future(but since the engine oil and other lubes are present, will rust form?). And if i say il take it for 65K discount, Director would go nuts. I l try my best.

    New one..hmmm.

Mibin,..."Sir' is not required. Most bikes have engines with a Steel inner sleeve with Aluminum Alloy outer for better heat dissipation while retaining the wear strength of Steel..save for the Diasil and ceramic coated ones.....If the engine Lubricant ie., Engine Oil does not constantly circulates and coat through the bore(normal Riding), the oil film over a period either moves down on to piston rings,and/or evaporates over time(long storage) and leaves the Steel material exposed to the elements...over time rust pits develops and kills the smooth surface of the bore...
Regarding exchange of parts at Dealership, it is a known practice to plunder parts from long time parked bikes for Service....In fact I had myself seen a new front wheel (from bike meant for sale)removed and fixed on to another bike just for satisfying a customer ....so be aware of this...

It is better for the Director to go Bananas than you loosing your hard earned money...131

Seems like 200SS launch is around the corner, but no info from Bajaj dealers. Is there any significant change from 200NS other than the cosmetics and ABS option? Is it a good call over CBR 250r STD version? Anyone with more info on launch dates?

Your guess is as good as everybodys here. None, other than some spy shots and leaked news that SS was spotted in some dealership yard. Unless peeple from bajaj opens up and says, nothing to be uttered till then
