This honestly isnt a problem. You just need to learn to adjust your body position to keep your arms loose.
Bro, a little more detail please?

While riding the Continental GT, you need to keep your back arched and your arms loose. I dont know if you have noticed but many R15 riders ride with a straight back and stiff arms. Riding in that position, especially on not too great roads, is going to leave your hands (esp wrists) taking a massive beating. When I owned my R15, I used to often tell other bikers on the roads / office parking etc to loosen their arms and ride. This is the same approach to be used when riding with the Continental GT. You will find excellent posts somewhere in this forum on the same lines.

As for the ownership experience with pictures, you can check the following link - RE Continental GT: Captain signing in! - Team-BHP

With regard to the colour, it is a personal choice. Most Continental GTs sold are in red. Black would give you exclusivity on an already exclusive bike. You cant go wrong with any of the colours.

Hey Neil I read your ownership post. Like the other reviews given to you.. You narrate it well.. I guess I need to get used to the sitting arrangements.

And yes I agree with you that with the color choice that they have with the GT I cannot go wrong.

Cafe racer gang in Chandigarh faced the same issue regarding the disc brakes.. Unlike you they realized too late..

So what all mods that you have done to your bike?

P.S. In your review you said you are from India's biggest IT Firm. Which company you work in? If you don't mind me asking. I am just asking because I work for TCS. cheers!

If you want the Pure Legendary Bullet-Awesomeness and Charm with Excellent Comfort - Go for the Bullet 500
If you want more Speed,Dedicated Seating Position,Newer Tech and a Faster RE - Go for the Conti GT

    As simple as that

My Vote - Bullet 500.Cuz The King IS the King.

Got to say very crisp and down to business suggestion.. Thanks for that

I guess there a war going on between heart and brain.. Heart is saying GT and brain for 500. But I guess I am more inclined to the cafe racer.

Although the most of the brother here have helped me greatly on the seating position, still I am not sure if I'll get adapted to it!!

Default Continental GT or Bullet 500?

This wold be my second post on this forum ( first was saying hi to all).

So I am in complete dilemma for the past six months as to which buy should I own.

I already had a fair share of 'plastic bikes' so decided to go with legendary royal enfield. Most specifically all new Continental GT.

honestly speaking, I am a little skeptical about buying this bike . I had my fair share of plastic bikes experience so wanted to buy a good "metal" bike. So I walked into enfield's showroom to buy bullet 500 but at the time of booking I laid my eyes on GT535 and I was like WOW! Like that's something you don't get to see everyday. Took a test drive.. Still under its spell but I have my concerns. Since you guys obviously know better than me can you please enlighten me on:

    1) the wrist and shoulder pain that I got from 10 min ride. I kept my thighs and arms parallel plus gripped fuel tank with thighs as well

    2) to what extent is the plastic used on this machine?

    3) can I used this bike for touring 200kms at a stretch?

    4) can I increase the exhaust sound.. The bike I test drove used the aftermarket silencer..still not satisfied with it

    5) lastly, do any of you guys regret owning it? Since bullet 500 and mighty duke390 is the same price bracket.

I would use this bike for weekends and would go on trips and tours. I don't mind spending 2L on GT. I have this feeling that complete fleet of RE would be revamped by 2017 ( also read it somewhere).

I have missed the 3 delivery date due to this dilemma only. Now I have the deadline from parents either buy it in July or don't buy at all. Need your help... SOS!

Still undecided I am looking at the wonders that could be done to the wonderful machine Continental GT

    1) completely new rear butt, here is the pic.

Even the seats are costumed with red linings.. Have a closer look

    2) second would be K&M filter which claims that would drastically increase engine's performance. Need help here.. Is it true? Not sure. Here is the pic.

    3) beautiful chain cover that will replace existing stock plastic one.. Feast your eyes

    4) Power commander 5 with completely new head.

Is anyone using this exhaust? How is the performance of this exhaust?

    more pics of the beautiful:
