    Hey guys chill ,

I didn't even notice the so called "noob"/"n00b"

    Ignorance is bliss

To come back to the original query

Now the choice is narrowed down to (with a few additions )

    TVS rtr 200 4v
    Yamaha fz15 v2
Suzuki GIXXER / sf fi sp
    Bajaj 200 ns/rs
    Yamaha fz25
Vespa 150 (usable by others in family)

I have reduced my budget cause my usage will be restricted to approx 5 months in a year .

Then Vespa is a good option... It's like the bmw of scooter world...
I own one since last 4 years when the first 125lx model came up without disc brakes and tubeless tires... It's a hoot ride .. very good machine.... Also useful for family members... But maintenance is little high compared to Honda scooters....
    But excellence requires investment....

    Also in the real world

But motorcycles have always been first!

Whether cycles or motorcycles the risks are forever real. You don't get to spawn again if you die!

Man Vinay, thanks to you and Ajay i have gone OT in this one thread, which i would otherwise normally do in an entire year

Apologies for going OT on your thread.

But if you are planning a motorcycle, the FZ 25 would still be the motorcycle of choice. If you want a scooter, well then you have opened up a whole new can of worms

    Great Choice.
    Yamaha FZ25
Apache RTR 200 - get abs version if possible.
    Gixxer SF - ABS

All the above are amazing bikes for the city & occasional highway rides.
The special feeling a proper bike gives , scooters can only dream... that's until you encounter a b2b traffic condition .
Try a bike this time as you have already experienced scooters earlier.

Among the revised options, I'd suggest following -

    1. RTR 200 - Go for ABS if available.
    2. FZ 25- Decent combination of power and economy.
    3. Hornet - IMHO the most sensible buy in 150 segment. Honda reliability, good mileage and power. Comfortable pillion position as well (not sure if that's your requirement though)

Hero not as good as they used to be during their official joint-venture with Honda. Try these three bikes multiple times, if possible for longer ride and see what you're comfortable with according to your preferences. Also consider proximity to service centres and their reputation - a good/bad service center can make lot of difference in your bike ownership experience.
