Default In a peculiar predicament. Need help

Am 32years young, working as an Asst Professor for daily bread and butter, got hitched 6months ago, sold my CBR 250R 6days ago. I have been a biker for close to 15years now with approximately 2lakh kms of riding experience and by God's grace, never been involved in any accident (touchwood!!)😊
Now coming to the predicament, I sold my CBR last week and am in the process of buying a car(usual marriage aftereffects) But after I sold the bike, I am really disturbed. Presently am using my dad's car for commuting, but it isn't the same(that feel). Am not enjoying my commute, it has become a kind of struggle, I want to go back, I really love riding. And to top it all, I don't even know the exact reason why I sold my CBR in the 1st place, it was just spontaneous (friend asked, I agreed) Now I want to get back to what I enjoy the most, biking. Help me for choosing a bike. Here is a brief description about my requirements.

    Height- 5.8
    Weight- 90kgs(that's heavy!)
    Location- Bangalore
Purpose- daily commute to work, occasionally touring.
Bikes previously owned- Bullet STD CI, Bullet Machismo 350 AVL, Rx135 5speed, Hero Honda Acheiver 150, Bullet Electra 350 UCE, KTM D390, CBR 250r (in the same order)
    Bikes shortlisted- None, confused

    REQUIREMENTS-
    1. Lesser kerb weight
    2. Reliable (like my cbr)
    3. Pillion comfort (must)
    4. Low cost of maintenance
    5. Shorter turning radius (unlike cbr)
    6. Fuel efficiency- 25 to 30kmpl
    7. Power delivery- linear (unlike old d390)
    8. Good high speed stability and road grip(unlike bullets where the suspension is too soft n tyres not so grippy)
    9. Preferably upright riding position
    10. Not very keen about ABS
    11. Suspension should be well tuned to handle Indian roads.
    12. Budget- within 2lakhs
    13. Open to used bikes suggestions as well.
Typical old racer - you wobble when you walk, not when you ride

Hoping to witness wonderful discussion here.
I feel Indian motorcycling scene has not been kind to people to give high displacement motor cycle and pillion comfort in a same package.
The choice I have on top of my head is fz25 and dominar.

Fz25: linear power delivery and Yamaha reliability although regarding pillion comfort take your better half with you for a test ride.
Some how from your post I get a vibe that you don't want a royal Enfield (I might be wrong) but your emphasis on reliability, road grip, suspension, high speed manners.
Dominar has acceptable pillion comfort for your better half and enough power in engine to keep you happy.
    Cheers and ride safe

Duke 200/250, fazer/fz 25, Apache 200, Apache 310s albeit slightly over your budget, and the dominar 400, ns 200, rs 200. Would say these are your options as of now, but if you wanna stick to cbr wait till auto expo in Feb start, 300r may release, soo increasing your options.

Since you are open to used bikes, I would suggest you to try out the R3. There are quite a few on sale in OLX in Bangalore. I use it for daily commute as well as touring. My total office commute distance per day is 34kms (17km up and 17km down) in peak BLR back 3 back traffic. Get around 23kmpl. My wife doesnt complain much about the rear seat. You might just need to increase your budget to around 2.5L.The bike is very flickable, hence cutting through traffic is a breeze.

I suggest you to go for Fazer if you are looking with pillion comfort and when it comes to power suggest you to go for Dominar (for the budget within 2L) else do book for Kawasaki Vulcan S if you like it since it has more power, pillion comfort and best touring only drawback is that it costs around 5L.

    Happy Riding :)
