UM Motorcycles are just Chinese bikes re-branded to India. Someone posted me a link to a web-site where how you can just get it done with your brand name "y2k@r25" written over it. Not worth the money spent at all. Dominar and newly launched Ninja 300 are way better choice compared to that.

Regarding, Vulcan Cruisers have extremely low ground-clearance, so I myself wont buy (even though I am a cruiser guy)

Remember one thing, al these bikes are imported, hence never tested on roads in India. They are built for some other countries and their roads and their weather/environment and you take a risk when you ride them here + anything breaks then it would cost you a lot. That is not to say that no one runs imported bikes here, I have seen many in Hyderabad (Daytona, Bonneville, Harley to name a few. Just recently saw a Harley Davidson Low-Rider). It is just that 2-wheelers are already prone to double the amount accidents compared to 4-wheelers and I don't want to add another factor of riding bikes not designed for our roads and environment.

How about latest BMW 310R ? (Else both Ninja 650 and Versys 650 are great. Versys is an ADV, hence will handle Indian roads much better than both Ninja 650 and Z650)

Yeah got your point.. even me not in for UM. I am 5.3" and hence versys is out of scope for me. The day I had been for Vulcan test ride, tried to sit on versys... Bad luck :-(

I would be riding with pillion mostly.. hence ground clearance is of importance.

Anyways thanks for your valuable guidance.

Hopefully will zero down very soon. :-)

Versys is pretty high! Even for a person at 5’9” had to tip toe while sitting on it!

You can consider the street rod 750
    Splendor - 2k to 2006
    Karizma - 2k3 to 2009
    P180 - 2k6 to 2k9
Hunk - Oct 2k7 til now
    ZMR - 2010 to Forever
    RX135(2k) - 2013 to 2018
    Ninja 250R (2010) - 2016 til now
    RayZ - 2015 til now
    Ninja 650 (2014) - 2017 til now

Hi, why don’t you test ride the z650, has the same engine like the N650, V650’s (versys and vulcan). Z650 comes with low seat height-790mm. It’s within your budget but it’s a naked bike.

    Happy Shopping!!

Yeah, I Know that bro. But will miss the aggressive stance on n650.

The only reason I might go for Vulcan is it's low Seat for a pillion. Else n650 was for sure. Even was thinking of CBR 650f. But unfortunately test ride vehicle not available with dealers and heard its seat height is 810 mm, which might be a problem for me.

For me seat height (Rider and pillion) and budget friendly is what I look upto.

Thanks for your suggestion. Will surely post once finalised on the model.

    Take care :-)
