Yesterday I got a call from the showroom dealer !!! They told me that the first service would be done on 26th April . Hardly 10 days more . The ODO shows 350 km . By next week it would be nearly 500 ! But in manual it says for 1st service , 1000 kms or 30 days from the date of purchase of motorcycle whichever is earlier . I have received my bike on 2nd April ! Am pretty surprised why they called me early 1st service in 22 days gap ! I told them tat I haven’t completed 1000 km n I ll let them know whether I can give the bike for service on 26th.
    Have some doubts
Will it affect the performance of the bike and engine roughness sorted out in this meagre kms run !

You have the right to get a free service as long as you haven't crossed the 30 days' mark but really take the bike out for a longer ride and let the engine sit properly. Clock as many KM's as you can (not 1000) before you go for a service.
    1. Utilise the weekend for a long ride.
    2. Confirm the exact service date with dealer, if need be write to Yamaha later.
    3. It won't affect performance per se but as per Yamaha you better run more before that oil change happens.

Tip: I got a Bajaj care app, after first service early March, the bill I received confirmed second service to be done by June which was incorrect, I downloaded the app and it got me the correct date for October '19 for second service. See if there's something like that available.

    Happy riding

Don't give 2 shits to what they say. Just tell them, as per your manual you'll go for service at the designated interval, and if they call you again, you'll contact Yamaha Service Deptt to complain.

Bro you shouldn't be riding at a constant rpm for long periods. No it's not done a damage already but vary the revs

Hello sir , the bike is kinda ok ... vibes are slightly reduced. Drove at 80 - 90 kmph at 5.5 to 6.5 rpm . manual says 7.5 rpm .. I can’t ride post 100 kmph I am so scared ... it’s 630 kms on ODO. 10 days more to give it for 1st service !!!

    Hey buddy,

You can address me by my name. Glad to hear that the engine is smoothening out. What's up, buddy? Why are you afraid? Did you crash a bike in past? I crashed my NS200 in 2013 and I was scared for some time after that crash but that was totally my negligence, wasn't even high speed lol. Good luck for the upcoming service.

    Happy riding
