    Lightbulb What's the best upgrade?

Hi folks, first time posting here.

    A little bit of background:

Two years ago, I picked up my first ever motorcycle - a black Avenger 220 Street. I knew very little about motorcycles in those days, getting the machine primarily so that I could cut through Mumbai traffic and have a cheaper, possibly more fun commute. It didn't take long for the touring bug to set in, and I eventually fell in love with motorcycles. I've ridden several single cylinders, a few twins and even a couple litrebikes in this time, and after two years of ownership and a 2500km west-coast roadtrip, I feel as if I've completely outgrown Bajaj's little cruiser. With plans to live and work in Gurgaon on the horizon, I realized it's the perfect time to sell the Avenger and move on to something bigger and beefier.

    Here's my basic info:

    1. Budget - 5.0L, but can make some legroom.
    2. Age - 23
    3. Height - 6'7" (170cm)
    4. Weight - 70kg
    5. Intended usage - Urban commuting in Delhi NCR, long distance touring. Will need to get around in Delhi quite often, so an agile, lighter bike would be good.
    6. Fuel Efficiency requirement - Not a particular concern.
    7. City & Highway percentage usage - 75% city, 25% highway.
    8. City / Town /Village of residence (so we can evaluate road conditions / traffic / terrain / altitude / OTR pricing)
    9. Brand / Bike type preference - Looking to move to a more aggressive riding stance than cruisers. Naked Sports seem like a good idea, but am open to testing anything new including fully faired bikes - I dislike KTM, however, and am valuing engine refinement over displacement. Something north of 50 BHP.

Like a lot of people in my situation, I'm considering the CB300R, but drooling over the CB650R instead. A guy can dream, huh?

Thank you guys so much for reading.

My 2 cents - Kawa Vulcan S and Kawa Versys 300(seems a little overpriced to me though)

Everything's fine ,I hope your height should be 5'7 and not 6'7 !!

Coming to your query ,as you'd mentioned that the usage Will be mostly in city it's better to choose a naked motorcycle rather than a full faired one.

The main reason would be longer turning radius and weight when compared to the naked ones.(But faired bikes also have good things which naked bikes can't afford!)

There are variety of motorcycles available nowadays which serves our needs.

Take a test drive and choose which one suits you.

R3, Kawasaki z650, Ninja 400,KTM 390, Benelli 302 would make sense for the money you've mentioned. CBR650R is way costlier and I hope 2019 model has been priced at 7.5L~ (ex-showroom).

*And don't forget to invest on a good quality riding gears !

If you are open to used bikes, in 5lacs+ range, you can get quite a few options like N650, Z800, Street Triple, CBR 650F etc. In 6.0+ you can get Z900.
