FZ is for low-mid end, Pulsar 200 has a good high-end and getting Fi at same displacement means it's gaining power rather than losing lior other BS6 models. Also, FZ looks aren't for everyone, and in my opinion the looks aren't for anyone.

Pulsar 220 has low and mid end putting it between FZ25 and P200 territory, while being soft sprung(back comfort) - it is a good all-rounder, good for city and is a pleasure on highways with its stability. For reliability, you just need to follow the service manual and change oil evry 2.5k kms. It won't let you down, no need for any fancy shit.

I was in dilemma 2 years ago, and I was surprised to find a decade old bike making sense for my needs.

Been nearing 2 years with P220, and still love it everyday - the riding posture is sports tourer (between upright and sports), suspension is really really good for bumpy roads, power isn't lacking anywhere unless you plan to go Rossi on roads, and it's an easy to maintain bike with wide parts availability and incase of any emergency accident or something, you can get it working from any small town mechanic too.

Also, parts are dirt cheap, such that even if you need a small or big thing, it's cheaper to get from ASC.

For an RE apart from the reliability aspect you should have be lucky enough to get a good one from the showroom. One of my friends problems started just one month after the purchase and the service center guys had no idea how to fix it (this happened 2 years ago by the way, dunno how RE showrooms are nowadays).

That's a valid point, the parts are cheaper. The new fz bs6 looks quite promising while in the 200 models there are no visual updates that I know of. I'm a huge fan of how RS 200 looks , but where ever I asked they all said pulsar is not reliable it'll die out in 3 years etc. Also 8/10 of my colleagues have RE so you can see where the hate comes from 😁

Its nothing like that,i too own a pulsar 220 n 150 and both are equaly good.every bike of whichever brand it is have some sort of niggles here and there.you have to take care of them properly.yamaha or honda suzuki or ny brand for that matter are not free of complaints.

Do dont bother too much, watever your heart says follow that.if it wants rs 200 then go for it.its powerful machine with fi,abs.riding posture is also good.
