Icon5 Which 125cc Bike for city commute?

    Hello Guys,
I used to ride a Gixxer (1st gen) from 2014 to 2019 but had to sell it due to multiple issues with the bike. I suffered from a slipped disc as well due to the poor road conditions and the awful suspension of the bike.
Anyway, I've now decided to buy a 125cc bike for my daily commute (20 kms). My height is 5'9 and my top priority is a good suspension (because of the awful roads in Thane and my slipped disc) and lesser need to visit my mechanic.
I've done a whole lot of research with my limited knowledge and have finalized 3 options:
    1. Honda SP 125 BS VI
    2. Hero Glamour 2020 BSVI
    3. Bajaj Pulsar 125 (Neon or Split Seat) BSVI...whenever it launches

Please help me out in this dilemma as I'm at cross roads and don't want to regret another bike purchase.

Prefer Pulsar 125 , it'll be cheap to maintain and bike is quite premium and solid as it's 140 kgs heavy . I've been using neon 125 it from last 2 months but never felt any sort of discomfort apart from seat cushioning which i got fixed from a local sofa maker (jugaad) . Servicing intervals are quite long so you won't have to worry about it. Suspension could be adjusted according to your need.

Secondly, Prefer the newly launched Glamour BS- 6. Check this out.. https://youtu.be/LJ3EkdFV7ms

Having owned both Honda Shine and Glamour, and sinc I have P220 right now, I'd suggest this.

If you want a simple light weight commuter, Honda SP 125 is really good.

Glamour gives you similar engine with a different look.

Pulsar 125 will be a little bit more heavier to manoeuvre, but suspension is adjustable.

But, the best judge is you. Do test ride these options. And you could ask them to set P125 on soft setting, takes only minute. And whatever you get, go with BS6 engine, Fi will make the bikes smooth.

Definitely consider the new Hero Glamour BS6. It now gets a 5th gear, new frame, more suspension travel and slightly more power. I think you should test ride both Shine and Glamour for the final decision. It will be close I suppose between these two.

    Cheers!

Thanks for your response but Activa is a scooter, not a motorbike and Shine SP has been discontinued after the launch of SP 125.

Thanks for taking out time to reply to my query.
Pulsar 125 is a bike I'm actually looking forward to test-riding. But 3 things about it confuse me:
    1. Why is 125 Neon only available in 1 colour (Black and Blue)?
    2. Why is the split-seat variant only launched in 2 states?
    3. When will the BSVI version be launched?

Thanks for the detailed response brother!
But you have unwittingly praised all 3 bikes, increasing my confusion even more

When you say adjustable suspension, does only P125 have that facility or can I do the same on SP125 and Glamour as well?
If you were in my shoes, which bike would you go for ultimately?

It's doable, I often commute on my 125 scooter, and get all the advantages of low fuel consumption, cheap tax and insurance. But, you're still going to get the slow off the lights performance, and the contempt of the bigger bikes who think you're slowing them down.I can just about bear 3 times per week on the scooter, I have to use my MT07 a couple of times a week just to keep myself sane, so I can't honestly say it's the perfect solution.
